The fishing guides do a fantastic job of making sure you get fish, but if you want to go self-guided, their boats are fully equipped. If there is something specific that you would like, the deck hands will quickly get it for you. This is a fishing camp, so the only place to walk is along the boardwalk there and enjoy the view.

Room tip: We left a room tip which is evenly divided amongst the entire staff.

Best fishing lodge on the west coast. Couldn't ask for a nicer staff. First class all the way. Five star accommodations and the food is great. Boats are comfortable and well taken care of. We have already booked for the next two seasons.

Eat. Fish. Eat. Fish some more. Sightsee. Whale watch. Eat some more. Fish some more. Enjoy a refreshment while fishing. Soak up the beautiful BC landscape. Finish up for the day and eat some more along with more refreshments. Share your days stories with the other guests. Hit the sack. And then??? Repeat. You'll love it.

Trip to Duncanby Lodge this year with my 2 brothers and sister was really fun trip. They were great my sister who isn’t a avid fisher person was her first time out salmon fishing.

My sisters fishing guide was very patient helping her and watching several fish lost. But she was still able to catch her limit

Dining was great can order off a menu eating what you want when you want to eat.

Relaxed atmosphere the team act like one big family.

Sid the owner promotes a voluntary catch and release for Tyee chinook salmon over 30lbs to increase the number that get back to river to spawn. They also work with local community privately owned hatchery to increase number of big fish for future generations of fishermen.

Lots of wildlife seen whales daily, eagles, otters, and rare sighting of bear

Overall it is a experience of a lifetime with great fishing as a bonus

Just can't imagine a better place to fish with your buddies and take in all the beauty Duncanby has to offer!!! The staff will look after your every need and the food is simply the best. The most important thing is the passion of the people who work there towards the environment and the balance of man vs fish!!!
