This was a wonderful dining experience. These people go over the top to serve you with great food, lots of it, in a wonderful setting, at a good price, and give you nice extras not usually extended. Comfortable, casual, and all good.

We go here often with family and friends. The food is authentic Itaian and outstanding. They start with a chunk of fresh parmesan on your bread plate, and only serve local vegetables in season. The linguini and clams are wonderful, also the cioppino. They don't take reservations for under six people, so sometimes there can be lines. But there are lots of cool shops in Fairfax, so put your name in and have a look around. The restaurant has a festive yet cozy atmosphere, but can be loud at times, as there are often big boisterous groups and special occasions celebrated here. The prices are reasonable, too.

Forget red checkered tablecloths, cheap plastic candles and bland pizza. Sorella is a classy yet casual place to get scrumptious genuine Italian fare in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Ceasar salads, veal parmigiana, even side vegetables are not to be missed. Dinner is especially yummy, but the lines can get long from 7pm onwards, particularly weekend evenings. We play it safe and go around 5:30pm.

Got lost and accidentally stumbled upon this place. Had the Salmon and was outstanding. Vegetables were cooked perfectly too! Loved the wheel of cheese that they came around and chiseled chunks of cheese out of too!

My husband and I had spent an incredible day at Drakes Beach and had planned to stop at an Italian resturant in Fairfax on the way home. It was Saturday night and the streets were lined with cars. We ended up parking about 2.5 blocks away from our intended resturant. Getting out of the car I spotted a place, well off the main drag that had cheery white lights in the windows, I could see a fireplace and the place was jammed with people. It looked so inviting we went to take a look.

Lo and behold it too was Italian. The menu looked interesting and the ambiance was inviting. We decided to stay.

I had the Pollo Picata....awesome flavors. A breaded chicken cutlet (actually 2 large cutlets) sauteed with white wine and capers. Fresh veggies along with it. Perfectly cooked, the chicken was moist and delicious. The veggies were still crunchy, not soggy like in so many other places.

My hubby had the Spagetti and meat balls. He enjoyed his dish alot too.

For an appetizer we had the fried calamari. It was very nice. Not overcooked and not overly salty. It came with a tomato based dipping sauce that was just right.

There were 3 items that we received which weren't ordered. As soon as we sat down the waitress came to the table with a half-round of Parmesan Cheese. She routed out a few chuncks for us. It was delicious.

After dinner she came with 2 cups. One had animal crackers and the other had gummie bears. A nice touch.

All in all it was a great discovery and we can't wait to return!
