“Great people in that town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

First I would like to Thank Manager (Manisha) and Staff Member Jenni....We arrived early heading to Sequoia/Kings Canyon just take a chance to check-in but was quite early, so we jumped back on our Harley and our battery died...

Jenni spoke w/ her manager and the manager ended up taken us to the local Auto Zone...And Jenni was able to get us in our room by the time our battery issues was fixed,1 1/2 hr later...

There was a young guy @ Auto Zone able to take my husband back and forth w/ the battery issues...

The town's people were really great to us...

Thr room was nice....Bed was very comfortable, clean floors, nice shower, fridge, micro...Breakfast good...

We will stay again, with the whole battery issue we lost that 1 1/2 hr in the park so next timewe will stay an extra night & arrive @ check-in & have the whole next day to go through the parks....

We have stayed in this hotel when travelling from San Francisco to San Diego at weekend between two business weeks. The idea was to visit Giant Sequoia National Forest on Saturday. In general, we don't like hotels with doors to street... but this hotel is over our expectations. First, it is small and comfortable. Second, not noisy. Third, good breakfast and pool. Four, not expensive, cheaper than similar facilities in Visalia or Fresno, but closer to mountains.
What is not perfect? AC system blows to your head without stopping, fitness room is deficient. It is a back side of small format, of course.
I would definitely recommend it for those who travels to Kern canyon and Giant Sequoia Forest, not for long stay.

The room was HUGE, and I have no complaints. The continental, waffle breakfast was the same as everywhere although these guys added sausage patties. It's a continental breakfast, so I did not expect more. No complaints again. The towel, on my towel rating system, out of 5 (5 being fluffy and soft, 1 being scratchy and hard) was about 2 and a half. They were a bit scratchy, but I've had worse. It was clean, quiet, and, really in a great location that avoids much in the way of noise. I'd stay there again and the price was fine--we can't afford too much, we are NOT wealthy.

Room Tip: We like upstairs so that we don't hear people above us.

Helpful and courteous staff. Clean rooms (like not having a comforter or quilt on top of the bed), they even supplied tubes of toothpaste, hair dryer, coffee maker and a "very comfortable" bed. We liked having a small refrigerator and freezer in the room, since we drive with cold waters using blue ice in our bag. Breakfast is not your normal continental type they included yogurt, boiled eggs, biscuits, make your own Belgium Waffle maker and more. The evening's we have spent there have been quiet. I think we hit the hottest day of the year, but thanks to individual room air conditioners that you can control the temperature we were very comfortable. The only thing we had to be careful for on the 1st floor was crickets trying to get in as we entered the room in the evening. We would stay there again compared to the other place in town or up in Three Rivers.

Room Tip: Be sure you specify if you need downstairs and no smoking. Rooms to the rear of the property would b...

I stay here all the time. I have family in the area. The only other hotel in the town is a flea bag, so it's here or drive to the next town. It's always clean and the people who work here are nice. I haven't been to their continental breakfast in years, so I can't say what it's like. I do wish the town had another hotel to give it competition. They were sold out all three nights I stayed here this week.

Room Tip: I always stay downstairs, there is no elevator.

The Exeter BW is an example of what you expect and desire in a Best Western hotel! Spacious rooms, clean to a fault, pleasant staff and despite renovations in the lobby, wonderful service and not a single issue with our stay. The complementary breakfast is a wonderful selection of nicely prepared and presented food in a pleasant, if smaller, area.

The staff was wonderful and able to accommodate our request for a downstairs, king room w/o problems, despite our lack of a reservation. This time of year, April, allowed us to enjoy a wonderful aroma of orange blossoms and though we did not partake of the pool, it was clean and pleasantly inviting.

After a long day of riding motorcycles in Sequoia N.P. and seeing many wonderful sights, this was a very pleasant place to land for the night. And at a reasonable price for the BW group of hotels as well. Presenting our BW card got us a pleasant upgrade and we enjoyed a relaxing evening in a pleasant and clean room with well provided features.

We stayed for one night and found the room to be spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The room looked like it had either been recently decorated or was just kept to a high standard. This was the first Best Western we stayed at and we made the mistake of thinking all Best Westerns would be up to this standard - we were wrong! It was also great value, particularly compared with other places of a similar style that we stayed at elsewhere in California. If we went back to the area we'd definitely use this place again.
