If you're in the mood for some delicious French Food and fine wines, Monet's in Exeter is just Wonderful. Their 3-Course Menus are fantastic. The Beef Wellington is one of my favorites. Be sure to make reservations though. It gets pretty busy.

When we checked into our accommodation, within 3 minutes the owner recommended Monet's and it was a highlight of our trip to Sequoia/King's Canyon. Our original reservation was at 7 pm but Jennifer kindly sat us early; she could tell we needed comfort after a long drive. We both had the angus fillet with yukon potatoes and stuffed tomatoes. The entree could not have been better. We chose 3 desserts because we sat next to the case - lavender creme brulee, almond cake and raspberry cheesecake. All three were amazing and the cappaccino was the best we've had in years. This small restaurant could easily be a neighborhood favorite in any major city. Make a reservation and luxuriate in the food and service. After a exploring the National Park, Monet's is a welcome treat.

We went there for the first time with another couple. Had a blast. Great food. Good music. It's VERY tiny. Absolutely need a reservation, which we had made. $$$$ but worth it! We're moving to Exeter in a month and can't wait to become a regular!

Happened to stumble upon this gem, the food was great I had the snails and lobster ravioli and my friend had the amazing brie and streak, cheese cake to follow that just melted in the mouth, nice portions. The service was friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was perfect. Wine great choice and if u can't decide they make a good selection.
Worth going to.

A couple from the UK, We came across this restaurant by chance. On our travels we have eaten in San Francisco, Monterey, Morro Bay , Las Vegas and more and nothing has compared with the quality of food produced at Monets. The staff and owner are really polite, welcoming and knowledgeable of the wine, beers and food on offer. An added bonus for us was talking to the little girl that helps out there, she was coming to England in a few weeks and had lots of questions to ask us, a charming little girl. We were also given advice as to what not to miss on our next destination, our only regret is that we only had the one night in Exeter, would have loved to try more from the menu.
