Shut out of Yosemite National Park, we decided to make the best and head up the 101 Redwood Highway. We landed in Eureka and the Carter House Inn. What a fabulous stay. From the moment we checked in everything was wonderful. The receptionist not only signed us in but personally took us to our beautiful room. The bed was comfortable, nice TV, Kuerk Coffee maker, and a basket of goodies. Really clean!! Dinner was at the Inn's 301 Restaurant. It was like we were eating on the Food Channel!! The food and wine were spectacular. Complimentary breakfast was a delight. We highly recommend the Carter House.
