“Clean and quaint”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

This is an old property but it is very clean and maintained. If you want to get a taste of the way motels were in the 50's or 60's then stay here. It's located in the downtown area and covered parking is under the motel on the ground floor. All of the rooms are on the second floor. The owner is very nice and during our conversation he mentioned that he has owned the motel for 35 years. Other reviews have mentioned the transients but we didn't see any. If you want a clean room at a good price this is the place. I would stay here again.

First off, this is a nice place to stay. We decided to stay here based on the reviews and pricing. The room was spacious and clean. However, I think it's important to know that it is directly across from the correctional facility. For some reason, it draws in some very shady characters. This isn't the hotels fault however, just something to note. We had absolutely no issues for the one night we stayed but definitely something to keep in mind.

Thank you Orion007 for your review. We are sorry that you did not see the positive side of our location. Many of our other guests absolutely love the fact that we are located in the heart of downtown close to many of the tourists attractions of Eureka. We are within walking distance of the Lost Coast Brewery, world famous Carson Mansion, Pink Lady, Historic Old Town, the boardwalk, as well as many of the other beautiful Victorian homes. We hope on your next visit you will be able to explore this more colourful side of a place we call home.

If you comfortable in hostels this place is almost equivalent. no extra services. There's a TV. A place to sleep if its late. There's a dive bar/restaurant next door. When we pulled up there was line of transients on the sidewalk and a woman vomiting in the corner. On the other hand there was a friendly man at the counter. Seems like The rate should have been less. Town is sketchy.

Thank you Sonia E for your review. We appreciate constructive criticism but disagree with your statement that our lodging facility is equivalent to a hostel. In all fairness, a hostel does not provide free wi-fi internet, comfortable beds with new linens, clean rooms, free coffee and ice and an extremely friendly staff to accommodate all your needs. As for your rate, we are the cheapest for the accommodations that are offered and you actually would have paid considerably more elsewhere for a lot less. We are sorry that you seemed to have a bad stay but still welcome you to come join us again for hopefully a better experience.

We were traveling thru Eureka on but wanted to save a little money so we booked at the Town House. We were greeted by a wonderful gentleman at the desk who was friendly and helpful. The rooms although old were comfortable and clean and perfect for one night. Although close to the main highway we did not hear the road noise, the rooms all faced an upstairs courtyard that looked down into the garage area, beautiful in-bloom fuchsia's lined the overlook. Walking distance to the lovely old town area made it a nice choice.

My kind of hotel while traveling. Very clean, comfortable and priced right. Manager was extrememly friendly and very knowledgable of the area and what to visit. The A/C was not on yet and the room was a little stuffy at night.

Room Tip: We had a room facing the street. It was a little noisy as we opened the window at night because the...

Budget motel in walking distance to everything you may want to do in Eureka. Walking distance to Lost Coast (our main objective). Walking distance to cute downtown; good breakfast options within walking distance. Manager is super friendly and super helpful. Really goes out of his way to help you find food options; find fun things to do in the area; and helped with recommendations for travel routes as well. Furnishings are old; but the price reflects that. Rooms were comfortable; clean; and well kept. Will definitely stay here again when passing through Eureka.

The owner was great and very nice. We showed up late and they still had the room saved for us.
It was clean and quiet. Everything in the room was old, pink sink, great shower head, powerful but only for a short person. old style bedspreads. ok experience but would not stay again.

Thank you idrawart for your review. We are glad that you found the owners "nice" but we were sad that you missed the newer furnishings and are misinformed by stating that "everything in the room was old". Your room was equipped with a brand new flat screen television, 6 month old beds, new toilet, and although contrary to your taste in patterns, the bedspreads were recently purchased as well. Although you had a comfortable stay, we are sorry that you won't stay with us again. We hope that your next lodging facility will be able to provide you with a sink in the hue of your choice.
