Excellent! Nice, clean, well done rooms, nice staff, good value. Love the unique design, definitely not a boring 'cookie cutter' style building.
We finally found a nice place to stay in Eureka, (been looking via trial and error for literally years).
We will stay here again!
Thank You!

This is an old fashioned drive-in, walk-up motel. No elevator and the rooms are mostly on the top floor. Parking requires skill if the place is busy and your car is anything more than a compact. This is a bare-bones kind of place. That said it was clean, had good, free, strong wifi, a nice TV and a great location in Old Town. It was also cheap at $55 a night. Great for 1-2 days but the basic room would pall on an extended stay. There may be nicer rooms but ours was a King room and it was tight. It was adequate and the bed comfortable. The gas heater (built into the wall) worked at first and then stopped after I adjusted the temperature down It is very old.

This is a pet friendly place and there was no surcharge for pets.

While we would not stay there again - we prefer something a little more pleasant and with services - it is hard to beat for value in the area.

It would never rate as excellent even at this value. It does't get a very good simply because it was just too tired - clean but tired and it would be so easy to tart it up a bit.

Room Tip: There are some rooms with a spa bath and some suites. If it's just one night the rooms are all O...

Thank you Vancanman64 for your review. We are sorry that you found our establishment "tired", but I feel that your description is exaggerated. We never claim to be a newer property and hope that we did not give you that impression at the time of your check in. Also, your claim that you would like to stay in a place with "services" is misleading. We have many services but perhaps not the one's in which you were looking for. Again, I hope that we did not say anything to mislead you when you checked in and paid for the room. Also, we would love to hear your suggestion on how to "tart it up" and if there are any problems with the heater in the future, please let us know so we can have the opportunity to take a look and fix it. We hope you will find the fancier accommodations you require in the future and are sorry that our budget friendly motel was not for you. Regardless, thanks for joining us!

We arrived late at night. The manager upgraded my daughter & I to the 2 room suite at the back of the motel for no additional charge. Some have mentioned the tight parking spots. If you have a regular or larger car, I can see where this might be an issue. My Honda Fit easily slid into a spot. This is a no frills motel. The beds were ok & fine for one night's stay. There is only one heater for both rooms. It blows towards the bed in the main room, so if that person wants to turn it off, the person in the other room gets no heat. I could not find extra blankets anywhere. There is plenty of closet & other space to put suitcases, etc. The mini fridge worked fine. There was a table & two chairs in the main room. Neither of us had any trouble getting the wifi signal from either room. The front room has a window with a curtain, but the view is of a wall. The view from the 2nd room is over parking lots, but it provides welcome natural light during the day.

Overall, this is a no frills place that is quiet, clean, & for the traveler on a budget. The management was nice & very helpful. We did not encounter homeless people or hear any street noise. For the one night we stayed, it was a good fit for our needs.

Considering you are across the street from the jail, this place is great, lots of flea bags in the area.
Service was friendly and xclnt. I had called to ask if irons and ironing boards were available, when I arrived, it was already placed in the room for me.

Room Tip: 28 is quiet
