We were very pleased with our stay at the Hydrangea Inn. It was cute, clean and cozy. Renee is a nice person and a good cook. The apple soufflé pancake was delicious. We would definitely stay there again.

The Hydrangea Inn was our best night’s sleep on our long road trip. Very, very comfortable bed. The amenities are generous, with even a towel-warming bin. The homemade breakfast was delicious and delivered—we didn’t need to dress and eat in a dining room.

A notable positive was that despite the home’s age, there was no “old smell” that we’ve experienced at some historic B&Bs. The hostess has obviously replaced enough of the vintage decor to create a fresh experience. Lovely!

My husband and I loved the stay at the Hydgrenga Inn. Renee is super sweet and very helpful. Her breakfast is really yummy too. The landscaping is immaculate, there's a fireplace outback to enjoy as well. We will definitely go back.

We always hope our guests will return with a plan to enjoy the gardens and have an evening fire in the rock fireplace built by my grandparents in the 1940's with rocks carried from the family ranch on the Eel River in the redwoods.

Over the years we have stayed in many places in Eureka while visiting family (Carter House, etc) and this is by far the best experience we have had in town. It was definitely one of the nicest B&Bs we have stayed in period. Our room, the upstairs suite, was more like an apartment- a cozy bedroom, writing den, living room, and kitchenette. It's clear the owners have an eye, as the period craftsman furniture was in excellent repair and also fit the house beautifully. The front and rear gardens were just a nice as the house, with a little fireplace and back pergola.

The food was outstanding as well. Each morning Renee had something delicious prepared for us, such as fresh fruit and baked casseroles. Each afternoon she brought us up a delicious skillet baked cookie.

It's the combination of little touches and the first rate accommodations that make the Hydrangea Inn the place to stay on the North Coast.

Room tip: Loved the upstairs Suite

My two 20-something girls and I stayed for one night, and it was the highlight of our vacation. We stayed in the Rhododendron suite, which was upstairs in the house. It was perfect for us! We shared a bath and a living area with a kitchenette. Breakfast was delivered in the morning, and it was delicious!! Thank you, Renee, for a wonderful stay.

I am so glad you enjoyed your time here and your "girls" trip. In these days of everyone being busy, it is great when you can do a road trip and hang out with your children.
