“No Sea Legs Needed”
Reviewed June 28, 2014

Our family, aged 5 months to 59 years, took the Father's Day Harbor cruise, June 2014. The bay was smooth, the crew, friendly and very knowledgeable, the brunch, delicious. I cannot recommend the Madaket heartily enough. It's even pet-friendly. Do it!

“Oldest vessel”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

The Madaket is to turn 104 on June 6, 2014.
We took the cocktail cruise on it on Memorial Day weekend.
The weather was perfect, the smallest licensed bar was stocked.
The seals gave us a shout out.
All in all it was perfect little cruise around the Humboldt Bay for $10.

“Love It!!”
Reviewed September 14, 2013 via mobile

We go on the Madaket about once a year. It is such a fun, informative tour on the beautiful bay! The Captain and crew are always very nice. We like the historical significance of the vessel and it is clean and well kept. Nice new location for dock and ticket booth. Only suggestion... the horn is very very loud. Maybe use once for fun demonstration and then only as needed.

“A unique and fun experience”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

A cruise on Humboldt Bay on the oldest passenger ferry in the US is well worth doing for many reasons. You will learn the history of the area, catch sight of harbor seals and many species of water birds - and maybe even a bald eagle. There are many cruise options including and the sunset cruise is definitely worth it while you relax and have a drink from the smallest bar in the world.
