Description: To just call Brick & Fire Bistro an Italian restaurant wouldn't quite describe it. The space is focused on our wood-fired brick oven - the 'cornerstone' of the kitchen. In it we do everything from bake breads & pizzas, roast lamb shanks & pork chops, and bake ziti and polenta lasagna! We have a wine list offering more than 25 wines by the glass, local beers on tap by Redwood Curtain Brewing, and comfortable, professional servers top off your experience. We love serving the food we love.

“Delicious”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

We showed up in Eureka with a reservation at Brick & Fire at 8:00 and was seated promptly. The food was delicious. I had the fig/apricot appetizer which was amazing but my husband had the stuffed calamari which was hands down the best appetizer I have ever had. We each had a salad which was good and pizza for dinner. The crust was perfect. Crisp and full of flavor. We had so much left over that we brought the pizza's with us camping the next day and had a delightful lunch. I would actually say the pizza tasted better the second day. We look forward to coming back next year for dinner. This is definitely worth a trip to Eureka.

“Unexpectedly Good”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

The Eureka/Arcata are is not exactly abounding in fine dining. So we were wonderfully pleased with a late lunch we had at Brick & Fire. Really deserves 4.5 stars.

The highlight of the meal was the wild mushroom cobbler, just a knockout of a dish. My calamari were good as well, as was the baked ziti and margherita pizza, but not at the level of the cobbler. Dessert was a split decision -- the chocolate mascarpone cheesecake was a delight, while the apricot bread pudding was just odd.

Service was fine and the anbiance is pleasant. I would definitely return hereif in the area.

The Dinner menu, it should be noted, is more extensive than the limited lunch.

“Excellent!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

This was the first restaurant that our daughter took us to in Eureka. We were impressed with the quality and the creative fresh menu. Husband's pasta was a little salty, and service a little slow so have to back down the review a bit. But who would think you could have a lunch rush hour at 2:30 p.m.??? We would definitely go back next time we are in Eureka.

“Very nice”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

We ordered a delectable salad of apricots, strawberries, spinach, avocado, radishes --- all with a bright, creamy lemon dressing. For our main course we shared a Margharita pizza with pine nuts. Crazy good! Desserts were only so-so. Do get a reservation.

“Reserve first”
Reviewed June 30, 2013 via mobile

We had 6pm reservations for a Sunday evening and were glad we did. The food was great. Half way through dinner my wife said we should come back tomorrow night. The food is that good. Wood grilled in ovens you can see from your table. As I mentioned you should call ahead as at least 8 couples were turned away while we were there.
