Bon Boniere has been an Old Town Landmark... welll... forever, as far as I can tell. The decor, marble floors and bar, are out of first half of the 20th century.
Bon Boniere has ALWAYS been an ice cream shop, soda fountain, and off-and-on a restaurant (yes, arrogant jerk a few reviews down, it was both in EUREKA for decades before the Arcata location, AND a Restaraunt!).
Their Ice-Creams were locally made, and no shortage of flavors!
Oh, to enjoy the Deep Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie that they made in the early '90's again!
I will sorely miss Bon Boniere! I just hope that it reopens some day under new ownership. It would be a darn shame for that location to NOT be an Ice Cream shop!
