Description: The big advantage of Platia restaurant is the menu which has influences from the international and the mediterranean cuisine something which make it able to satisfy even the most demanding palates, both because of the fantastic taste and the well presented dishes which make them like real art works. If you are looking for something special, unique and exceptional Platia tavern is the best choice and ideal to fulfill your expectations. All dishes are very finest and made of local products. The wine and the raki (called strofilia in Greek) made from Dimitri's vineyards. You will realize immediately that in this restaurant the traditional cuisine cannot characterized as a touristic place as it crosses even the narrow geographic limits of Naxos. Also you can combine your holidays making your cooking class in a warm and welcoming place. You can participate in the cooking class process of an authentic Greek meal, made with your own hands accompanied by local drinks and wines.

This hands down the highlight of my time in Naxos. The family is so wonderful - I aim to at some point ask them to adopt me and live as one of them for the rest of time.

I came to Naxos in winter when it is much quieter. I was able to book a cooking class for Monday by stopping by on a Sunday and had THE MOST fun. We danced in the kitchen, toured the farm and had an absolute blast. If you come to Naxos and don’t at least dine here you’d be missing out!

10/10 would recommend.

My mother and I just finished a cooking class at Platia and it is so far one of the highlights of our trip! Highly recommend - the people are so warm and wonderful! Galini is picturesque and has great views of the mountains and surrounding villages. Upon arrival we sat down to a selection of Naxian cheeses, olives, tomatoes, bread, homemade jams and preserves - and homemade ouzo if desired. We cooked stuffed grape leaf rolls (dolmadakia), cabbage rolls with meatballs, tzatziki, and Greek pancakes with honey and cinnamon. Most of the ingredients were fresh from their family farm. After cooking we got to visit the farm and saw orange trees, lemon trees, tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, basil, figs and more. She picked many fruits and vegetable for us to take home and also packed up the leftovers that we had cooked! So worth it - a really great traditional experience that we will never forget! Thank you Platia.

Truly an unforgettable experience for both the incredible meal and the wonderful company. The cooking class was very hands-on and we got to learn how to make many Greek specialties. The food was unbelievable, fresh and as authentic as you can get! We loved the tour of the family farm and the many snacks before the class even began. We could not have asked for a better way to spend an afternoon than with such a kind and hospitable family. We highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting the Naxos area!

Wonderful experience! Warm and generous hospitality, a wonderful cooking lesson, a tour of the family farm with fruit straight from the tree. A sit down meal with the families wine and gorgeous food for later. We couldn’t recommend a more wonderful way to enjoy Naxos! We’ll be back with the kids next time!

Loved the cooking class. As soon as we arrived, Maria and Paraskevi warmly welcomed us and we sat down to a true, authentic and fresh table full of food - peaches, a variety of cheeses native to Naxos, olives, delicious homemades and olive oils, tomatoes, peppers, the list goes on. We thought the feast had ended but we were then given a tasty cookie and some kitpon naeoy and THEN we started the class! It was fresh, fun, and very informative. More tasting of food as we went and after about an hour and thirty minutes, we enjoyed the fruits of our labor and sat outside in the warm, clean air. Everyone joined as we finished up. Excellent atmosphere, excellent company, excellent food. Highly recommend!
