My family (8 adults) was spending six days on Naxos and this was one of the first activities we booked. We spent four hours watching and participating in cooking a delicious meal of stuffed veggies, lamb, potato and tzaziki.
We arrived and shared the experience with two other families (including adorable kids!) We started with snacks and then moved over to a table where we helped chop, pour, stir, peel, etc. While the food was cooking, we drove two minutes down the road to the family farm, where we picked fresh grapes and other fruits off of the trees and vines to try, and were given bunches of grapes to take home!
When we returned, the meal was ready for us. The food was plentiful and delicious. All of the food restrictions that I had mentioned when I booked the class were accounted for. The hosts were lovely. When my mom wanted to purchase some of the jam they had served us but the bodega across the way was sold out, the chef bottled some up for my mom right there to take with her. Everyone in my group had fun, including my dad who doesn’t cook and my brother who tends towards more adventurous activities.
This was a wonderful way to pass the afternoon (we were there for about four hours) and I highly recommend it!
