Nothing spectacular about the restuarant except that the food is just darn good. We eat here fairly often and would recommend it.

This restaurant has changed hands several times. The food is always average and the surroundings less than average. I would go to Joe's Italian Dinners instead.

There were four of us for dinner and we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Wednesday Night. The shrimp scampi diner enjoyed his meal. The chicken salad lover said her large salad was very good. Spinach and cheese in pasta shells was good also. Unfortunately I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan Casserole. The eggplant was mushy and flavorless in a sauce that was bland. The service was good and the server very pleasant.

Last night we had dinner at Dominic's in Escondido.

Location - it is right across the street from the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. So if you are going to the CCAE it is handy for dining before or after a performance. It is located in a strip mall and has good parking. There is also a Movie-plex in the same strip mall (other end) so this could also be a good place to pick up meal after a movie.

Value - I had the shrimp and calimari special for ~ $16-17. They are listed in the "card part" of the current Entertainment book. So we got $12 off of the bill.

Service - The service was fine and casual.

Ambience - casual but okay

My Food: It was good but a bit spicey (hot!). I'm used to hot Mexican food but not hot Italian. Nevertheless, it was good. They gave us a basket of hot bread sticks and a dish of hot marinera sauce to dip the bread. It was good.
