“Uncommon Mexican”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

We were referred by locals to this "healthy" mexican spot and were delighted. We had to 'guess' what the items might end up being from the menu description as they were both familiar and unusual at the same time. We decided to just go for unusual items and were pleasantly surprised at the flavors, quality and, definately, the quantity - both of us took home enough for a second meal. My husband's enchaladias were seasoned with wonderful meats and cheeses and my dish turned out to be a salad - not expected, but delightful with rice, black beans and all kinds of other delicious ingredients - it would be a regular choice if I lived there.

“Mexican but so much more”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

Mexican in name but very little true Mexican food; which is great! A twist on every dish you are familiar. If you want different this is the place for you. Large portions, great flavors. Only problem, the size; a place this popular needs to be bigger.

“Good food, but not always open during their posted hours”
Reviewed September 3, 2012 via mobile

We like the food so well at Cenote Grill that we drive 45 minutes to eat there. However, on more than one occasion, they weren't open during their posted hours of operation. We recently planned our Sunday around their Sunday brunch only to find out that they were closed for Labor Day weekend. We were so disappointed. We know that they are closed on Mondays, so we checked their web site before leaving (which is never updated). We even called before leaving, but the phone just rang. We arrived a few minutes after 11:00 am, when they are supposed to open, to find a note on the door. It is a shame, because the food is very good, especially the poblano soup, and the service is usually excellent. We just can't count on them being open when we get there any more and it is too far to drive just to turn around and go home hungry.
