“Escondido's Labrnyth of Trails”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013

Dixon Lake and the Daley Ranch is an awesome outdoor park. The trails offer something for families, serious hikers and bikers of every level. Be sure to bring water and snacks. Some hills going up and down have some ruts but if you're not reckless it is all doable. Super place to walk your dog, but don't let them loose, rattlesnakes are not uncommon. If you love trails, you'll love Daley Ranch and Dixon Lake.

“Great place for a day out or camping”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2013

I love Dixon lake, so much to do. from BBQ's to horseshoes, fishing and of course hiking. The scenery is beautiful.
One of my favourite campsites, it is small but lots of space between campers and wonderful views all around you.

“Great place to camp”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

I grew up fishing and camping at Dixon..and after all these years it's still a great place to go! The camping is great and convienient to town. Really feels like you are "far away." The hiking is awesome and with the view you can't miss a great family adventure!

“small but good for a picnic”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013

This lake is a nice size, however unless you go out to fish or have a picnic., there is not much to do. Too many people visit this place and you have to pay a small fee to get in. There are other nice lakes in the area.
