Average sushi house, average prices. Nice people who own it. Worth the visit if you are in the area.

We've been going to Mister Sushi in Encinitas for several years. Over this time they seem to have changed hands or philosophy or something. What used to be a somewhat authentic Japanese Sushi Bar now is more like a fast food version. The fish was good only DON'T eat the mackerel. They were all out of Spanish mackerel so I had the other. Not good, in fact, made me ill. The chef was a young hispanic woman who was quite adept with her knife. I was impressed. I did feel, however, that we were rushed though our meal even tho the place was fairly empty on a Wednesday night. So, if you want a quick sushi fix, go here. If you want a leisurely high end sushi meal, look elsewhere.
