I love Pannikin because it was an old Santa Fe train depot at one point & it really is a beautiful old yellow clapboard type building that is a rare thing to see these days in California anyway. Plus, it's just a cheerful place to hang out in where loads of people stop for a drink or a bite on the weekends. There are lots of freshly baked goodies: all kinds of pies & treats, plus coffee or tea drinks. Personally, I have yet to find a lunch or breakfast item I am really excited to order though & I wish they'd revitalize their menu & add some really tasty egg or sandwiches for the road! Either way, its a really neat old building with some grass & outdoor seating & a train goes by to add to the ambiance. Enjoy!
