Just enjoyed new items on the Solterra Winery menu created by their new stellar Chef Daniel. The salt caramel cheesecake is indeed something you should not miss. With great staff and relaxed ambiance they serve a great night out,Solterra is also open for lunch and Happy Hour.)

Wonderful variety of wines-- and a few beers on tap- plus interesting "small plates " food choices, in a warm, hip place Made for a great place to stop. And on Mondays, it's Happy Hour prices all night at the bar,.

We decided to use our gift card for wine and appetizers for lunch. The wines were good, but the bottles were 40.00 and up.
The cheese/bread/jams were tasty. Quiet if you go at noon. Sitting on front patio watching people go by.
The parking is almost impossible, park on street or in the dirt lot across the street.

A really fun place with a cool California vibe. Good food, but not much discount at Happy Hour and the waiter forgot to give us the discount anyway. Come here to taste the interesting wines, some of which (Syrah and Zinfandel) are quite good and hear very good music. Three settings with very different ambience: 1) the barrel room smells like wine and has great acoustics and community tables. 2) The restaurant is cozy with nice views of the street and a great sit down tasting bar. 3) The outside patio, with cool ocean breezes and s nice fire pit.
Avoid the meat and cheese plate which only had about 3 ounces of meat and cheese for $30.

The location is really nice, they have many wines to try and the food is really good. The brava potatoes or the cauliflower are a must. The happy hour is un-beatable.

We should up with a large group that we were unable to get a reservation for and the welcome we received could have been a little more hospitable. That being said we were accommodated outside. The Happy Hour wines were good, the food a real treat. By the end of the evening, it seems that the establishment was happy to have our business. Definitely go back, smaller group next time.

Adventurous, eclectic menu that changes often enough to make repeat visits interesting, with a vegan entree always available. Their wines are very good. Lively but not hectic atmosphere and a friendly, efficient staff.

The winery is on the main PCH 101 , Encinitas. it has outside seating as well as in the restaurant. The wine tastings were great and I mixed it up and also had beer on tap, which were about 6 types. It is great when you can have your choices of wine or beer, specially on tap. The food was great, I shared a burger with my wife and had a great salad. My sister and her hubby had salads. We walked into their barrel room and the gentleman in there explained where the grapes from the different wines came from . I highly recommend this place . Leo D

With many beer and wine venues now not serving food, Solterra stands out. Gourmet food and great wines paired with friendly service. We shared the delicious beer salad and also the roasted Brussel sprouts.

Loved everything had great service great food and wine. Had the Lamb burger wife had the Lobster risotto. Nice place sat outside only drawback is the train whistles at the intersection of Leucadia every 20-30 mins.
