This place has been around forever, but I only recently rediscovered it after they moved locations. And man, I forgot how unbelievably good their sandwiches are. For $.850 you get a huge sandwich, very high quality deli meats and some of the best, fresh bread you can buy in San Diego.

I recommend any of their sandwiches, but go for the Italian Combo if it's your first time. Really good quality Italian meats, with their pesto mayo and oil and vinegar. Happiness on a roll. Pasta dishes look very good as well, but I haven't had the chance to sample any. The sandwiches are simply too good for me to deviate.

I have passed this place a number of times - decided to stop - what a great menu - you pick your pasta and then your sauce - I had the spinach angel hair and meat sauce - it was wonderful - just wish I had asked for a little extra sauce as there was a lot of pasta - Parmesan cheese is freshly grated and to die for!! Order meatballs and sausage as a side - great!!!

The sandwiches are great here! My husband, youngest daughter and I all got them. My oldest got fettucine alfredo and the sauce was very tasty. I like that they add a lot of garlic to it. We had to take it home as the portions are large. They close earlier than most places. The place was packed and we saw this older lady (Rosanna maybe) taking up a table outside reading a newspaper. We almost left as there was no where to sit. You would think she would move to give her patrons a place to sit. But no. We got lucky a party of 4 was just finishing up and were able to enjoy our meal.

I'm a huge fan of Rosanna's. I've always wanted to try their pastas or pizzas but I always get their grilled paninis.

My favorite is the caprese with sundried tomato. The roast turkey with cheese is a close second. The bread they use for the caprese panini is just perfect. It holds up very well to the ingredients. The bread for the turkey sandwich is good too but it's almost a little too thick sometimes.

The service has been great the last few times but there was a time when the service was just plain blah. The old lady helping me at the time was not friendly, not helpful, just there to take my order. If there are young people behind the counter, they are more willing to help you.

Even with the occasional lukewarm service, the food stands out and that's what keeps me coming back for more.

They close early during the week so plan ahead and go early.
