“Very pleasant experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013

Lots of choices of salads, sandwiches, soups, quiches and desserts. You order at the counter and then take a table inside or outdoors- on the porch in the shade or on the plaza in the sun. Meal was served quickly and food was delicious. A nice restful spot after hours of walking at the San Diego Botanic Garden, only 10 minutes away.

“It's all about the outside!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013 via mobile

One of the best things St.Tropez has going for it is location x 3.
It's in the courtyard of the Lumberyard. Encinitas has the best in the country. Sea breeze cooled air permeates. Hanging out is inevitable. This place always has a special that includes a drink. I had the croissant French toast. Lets just say that Gordon Ramsey's children can come up with a better design. A flat smashed croissant dipped in egg. They do offer real maple syrup and of course a dollop of whip cream. You feel the sugar from the first hit. Than your off to explore lovely Encinitas, Be sure to check out the Dr.Hauschka facial place,Solace on 2nd directly across from the lumberyard on second street for unbelievable facials. They never advertise and are by appointment only-a real treat. With all that sugar from the French toast you need somewhere to go after the
beach!

“Good food; great outdoor seating.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2013

This French-ish bakery serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Line up by the pastry display case and work your way to the register. The order is delivered to the table quickly, but service stops there. The food ranges from OK to very good. The paninis and soups are good, as are the quiches and salads. Dinners less impressive. Outdoor seating on a nice day makes everything better. (But get your coffee at the Starbucks next door.)

“excellent food with outdoor seating”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2013

The salads were exceptionally well presented and quite large. The mushroom crepes were also excellent. The bakery looked very good, but we did not have room to try anything. Enjoyed sitting outside.
