We stayed a the Holiday Inn Express in Elk Grove for one night. It was pretty average. The staff was above average and very nice. The first room I was given was not made up- all the sheets were on the floor, but the manager immediately gave us a new room. Here's the good and bad about this hotel.
~Lots of extra outlets- 4 open outlets between the beds! Yippee! I didn't have to unplug the lamp to plug in my phone!
~Small outdoor pool (4.5 feet deep)
~All of the employees were very courteous and made us feel like welcomed guests
~Noisy- the freeway was close by the hotel
~The breakfast was very basic with canned gravy for the biscuits, for example
~The air conditioner was very, very loud and kept me up, but it was too hot not to use it.
~Beware of the shower head if you are more than 5 foot 10ish- it was very lowMore
