A wonderful restaurant with great food and atmosphere. A lovely wine list and great background music. All this and within walking distance of our room. Lovely!

The service may be a little sketchy, owners words, but the food was wonderful. We actually went back a second night we were so impressed. Very friendly, small restaurant. Owner has only had the place about 4 mos. when we were there. Good menu choices and excellently prepared. Definitely worth the wait. We had the fresh caught salmon both times has it was so good. Also had the mussels which were very good also. We recommended the salmon to several diners both nights. Would definitlely eat there again if in the area.

In the tiny hamlet of Elk, CA, approximately 4 hours up Highway 1 from the Bay (one of my favorite coastal "towns" to begin with), sits one of the best coastal dining experiences anywhere - In this small, cozy, windowy venue, The Greenwood Pier Café proprietor "Ace" pays attention to detail, and it pays off. From the delicious and broad menu of seafood and not, every single bite was perfect. My wife and I shared an app of Gulf Oysters, then roasted Rock Hen, rubbed with seasonings and served over an incredible mound of seasoned vegetables (quite a variety) cooked to perfection, and a generous bowlful of buttery mussels. Absolutely delicious. All that with 2 glasses of good house wine for $46. I kid you not. Here is the catch... If you are not up for a quirky, sarcastic, hilarious owner/waiter who obviously loves what he does making conversation with you on occasion, then Manhattan is probably more your style. This little place is amazing. Stop in.

We stopped at the quirky Greenwood Pier Cafe on the spur of the moment while traveling north on CA-1. We had recently dined in some of the best northern California restaurants including Bottega, Morimoto, and Ad Hoc. The Pork Chops ar Greenwood stack up against these fine dining establishments and frankly, were better than almost anything we ate in those highly acclaimed establishments. The grilled veggies that come with the pork are so good, you just keep wanting more. The pork is perfectly seasoned, tender and moist. This should not be missed.

great food but service slow due to overwhelming response of local and Inn guests; however, only 2nd night of re-opening café, so I am sure they will be adding more employees to improve their service.
