A convenient and great hotel for a short transit in Lax. Very close to the airport but hardy hear any noise. Spacious room with 2 queen size beds. The bistro is adequate for a short stay. Free airport shuttle is handy.

This is a nice and typical Marriott Courtyard. The hotel is clean, quiet, and very nice. It is not exceptional but exactly what you expect. If you do not have a car, there is not much to eat in the hotel - just a bistro (aka sandwich counter) that does not follow the posted hours. We got up one morning and went to buy some breakfast. The hotel has posted that the bistro opens at 6 AM. We lined up at 6 AM and the guy was clearly pissed at us. How dare we expect to purchase coffee, yogurt, and a danish! He wasn't ready yet. He would not sell my co-worker oatmeal since that had to be made. For dinner we walked several buildings down to the Sheraton since there was not much in the hotel. Remember the Missing Persons song, Nobody Walks in LA, well it's true and sidewalks are hit and miss.

Dear chicagotravelgirl,

Thank you for your feedback regarding Courtyard Marriott Hotel. Your feedback is important. The Courtyard Marriott LAX/El Segundo is located at 2000 E. Mariposa Ave., El Segundo. I believe the Courtyard Marriott that you are referring to is the Courtyard LAX, located on Century Blvd., just a few blocks away from the Sheraton Hotel that you referred to.
Although we may not be the hotel that you intended to review, I have shared your feedback with our associates to reinforce the importance of our Bistro operating hours and service standards.

Sincerely,

Ed
General Manager

Located in an office park south of LAX, this hotel provides a great alternative to the large hotels on Century Blvd. Initial attraction was the proximity to LAX with free parking and free airport shuttle. The property is in great condition with a brand new lobby and nice, clean rooms--one of the nicer places I've stayed in this chain. Only complaints are there's a bit of airport noise as with any where near a major airport and the elevator could stand a bit of servicing (slow).

Room Tip: Stayed in room 244. Might be better to stay in a room facing the inner courtyard as they may be a bit quieter.

We stayed here the night before an early morning flight. The hotel is only 5 minutes to the terminal...beds were very comfortable...good bathroom. Perfect for an overnight.

If you need to be near LAX, this is the place. It is a typical, nothing too fancy motel, however, in the city of valet and exorbitant parking fees, it is such a relief to actually find a place where you can park your own car and not be charged.

The internet connection was also free, which I found refreshing.

You are very close to LAX, but the rooms are very quiet.

Staff were very helpful. Room was always cleaned meticulously.

There is a Starbucks in the lobby.

Room Tip: I booked through aaa.com and got an excellent rate.
