Great place for family vacation. Close to the airport and many stores and restaurants near the hotel. The 2 bedroom suite had ample room for 4 adults. Can't beat the free parking and breakfast.

Sorry for the delayed review, but wanted to express our opinions on a great stay at this Residence Inn El Segundo. Paid $199/nt for a 2 bedroom suite in the middle of tourist season, very happy with this rate off the hotel website.

Pros: Clean, quiet, close to beach but not as expensive, close to airport but never heard a plane for the 5 nights, decent breakfast for the price (free!), close to Metro station but only heard it once or twice. Front desk people were very helpful with recommendations. Nice pool area.

Cons: Parking is a little tight , breakfast area could have used a few more table.

Overall, a very pleasant stay.

OK, when you take a hotel in LA you know you have to pay big bucks for a decent hotel. Since we didn't want to pay over 400$ /night and as we use this hotel only for sleeping we gave this one a try. We paid 150$ plus tax and it fulfilled all our expectations.

- Front desk girls very friendly and helpful.
- Breakfast more than average and good quality
- We had a suite far from the major road, so we didn't hear traffic, although outside airco units were quite noisy
- Suite was very clean and equipped with all what we needed (wired internet, fridge, separate bedroom, ...)

Location was perfect for us: close to Manhattan Beach (where we like more hanging out than in Santa Monica, Venice or Hollywood), and it's nearby LAX, so it's perfect if you have to catch an early morning flight.

We stayed here about 2 weeks ago, and it was pretty nice. The room was very clean and well stocked. It was very quiet as well. The breakfast is nothing to brag about, but what can you expect for a free meal? The service was excellent. We would stay here again.

This is the first time we have stayed at the Residence Inn and wont be the last.
Had a 2 Bed suite (2 adults & 2 Kids) and it was roomy, well maintained and had everything we needed - great fridge, microwave and cooker. 3 TVs, comfy beds and 2 ensuite Bathrooms - so no queing for showers!!
The pool is ave size but perfectly big enough and towels are supplied by the hotel. Occasionally the towel storage box was empty but a call to housekeeping (there's a phone in the pool area!!) and this was sorted immediately.
Breakfast is excellent, although limited to about 6 hot items, but there are plenty pastries, cereals, juices, fresh fruits - and even a DIY waffle maker - which my son used everyday.

Staff are attentive and helpful

The location was perfect for us - we spent some time at the beaches as well as Hollywood, Beverly Hills, etc

All in all a great experience

Once again Residence Inn comes through for me and my family. The El Sugundo location was so convenient, I do not know why anyone would not stay here. It's a short mile or two away from LAX with no airport noise at all. The 1 bedroom suite was awesome and roomy as usual for Residence inn Properties. The front desk was very helpful and check in was very easy. Not a whole lot directly by the hotel but a 2 minute ride will take you to just about anything you need. Redondo Beach and Hermosa beach are two under rated destinations for dinner, beach and nightlife. I am a travel agent and would tell people to at least check it out. Hotel is close to highways and never any traffic going in any direction out of the hotel. The pool was great and extremely warm. It was one of those salt water pools (not like the ocean). They also had a sports court that the kids liked. My only complaint in comparing Residence Inn's was the breakfast could have had more choices, I have stayed at many residence inn's and they had more breakfast options. The breakfast staff never really seemed to be in a good mood like other Residence Inn's. Parking is free also. This time we went ot Knottsberry farm and it was really great for all ages, especially a 4 year old. They had some really great rides for older people too. I could not think of a location I would rather be at if I was looking to do things North and South of LA.

This hotel has been my first choice when I fly out of LAX, and I've stayed here several times. It's your typical Residence Inn with a kitchen with full-size refrigerator, comfortable bed, living room area and sofa bed. Fairly quiet. And free parking! This hotel sells out often, so reserve early!

A warning though: I noticed online that the hotel was sold out for a particular night in July, so I called up to see if I could get on a wait list. The clerk checked that date and said they had "minus 7 rooms." I asked what that means, and he explained they were overbooked by 7 rooms! I asked if they tell people that up front or whether they find out when they arrive and there are no rooms available. Turns out, people find out when they arrive and no rooms are available. He said they will, however, put people up in a nearby hotel. (Assuming one is available, which they're often not.) If you have an early flight the next morning and want to be at the Residence Inn, you cannot rest easy that you have a room there, even if you have one booked. If you book here, try to show up EARLY for your room, or you might be scrambling to find another airport hotel. And many of them are low quality.

Other info about the hotel: No business center if you forget your computer. An airport rail shuttle runs very near the hotel, but discontinues operations from about midnight to dawn. It's audible enough so that some guests may be kept up by it, while others may tune it out.
