What else can we say that has not already been said. Liz & Ron are top notch. They know the area like the back of their hands and are the best tour guides in the area. We stayed for 3 nights and because we waited 2 months in advance to book a room ended up sleeping in 3 different rooms during our stay. We were so much wanting to stay here that it didn't bother us to move around, besides, we got to check out the rooms so that when we stay again we will know which one we liked the best.
Breakfast was delicious. We are vegetarians and were well accommodated for. We felt like we were at home and it seemed like Ron & Liz were friends of ours from long ago. That's how welcomed we felt. There are so many extras that I could mention here, however, space would not permit. You will not go wrong by booking at the Yosemite Blue Butterfly Inn!
Awesome place and awesome people.

Room Tip: Book as far in advance as you can, they fill up quickly.

Me and my sister stayed at Yosemite Blue Butterfly in early September and we loved absolutely everything about our home-from-home in this most beautiful part of the world. Despite our anxieties about the Rim Fire in the weeks leading up to our stay, good fortune was with us and we were so lucky to have clear blue skies and sunshine for the entire stay. Liz and Ron were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome in their home. We loved the hummingbirds, the cats, the Merced River running below us as we ate breakfast and the anticipation each day of Half Dome, Glacier Point, El Capitan, Mariposa Grove and Tunnel View. It is a vey special place and I would love to return here one day. Thanks Liz and Ron for a wonderful time.

Myself and my partner both enjoyed a two night stay at Yosemite Blue Butterfly Inn this Labor day weekend. Liz & Ron made us both feel incredibly welcome, and we felt right at home. We were kept updated on any difficulty with travel (what with the fire) and Liz & Ron were there to welcome us on arrival with freshly baked cookies - which were delicious :)

The room was spacious, lovely comfortable bed, nicely decorated and clean (we stayed in the Glasgow Rose). We also viewed the top floor of the B&B and that room is amazing!!! The balcony overlooking the Merced River where breakfast is served is stunning, and the Hummingbirds that are regular visitors are beautiful to watch.

Liz and Ron made our stay a wonderful one, and were both really helpful and their local knowledge really helped us make the most of our trip. This was our first trip to Yosemite and I hope won't be our last! Would love to stay here again in the future, and would recommend it to anyone wanting a well located, reasonably priced and friendly B&B in the Yosemite area.

Room Tip: The rooms with your own balcony provide amazing views!

What to say that has not already been said? The breakfasts are wonderful with a great opportunity to meet other guests and the hosts. The top floor room we had was more like a huge apartment and we loved sitting out on the deck at night listening to the river and eating outside. We also loved seeing the stars and milky way at night and waking up to the dawn light. The shower could not be faulted. We also liked having a small kitchen type sink in the room. It meant we did not have to go and dine out. The hosts really are fabulous - so interesting, thoughtful and hard working to boot. And they love the surrounding area with a passion. I was more than happy to cancel one night at Housekeeping Camp and add an extra night at the Blue Butterfly because we felt so welcome here. We are glad we stayed here as well as in Yosemite itself - it was like a home from home in America.

Room Tip: top floor room is excellent. you pay a bit more but having the whole deck to yourself and the fabulo...

This was our second time staying here, so we knew what to expect, and we weren't disappointed. Liz & Ron, the hosts, are very welcoming, friendly & full of great information re Yosemite. We stayed in the same downstairs room as the previous time, which was very nice and clean. My parents were with us this time, and they stayed in the top floor suite, which was very big & comfortable and has a lovely wrap-around balcony overlooking the river. The breakfasts each morning are homemade by Liz and very tasty.

The location is great, it's about a five minute drive from the entrance to the park.

The previous reviewer who complained about there being too many hummingbirds really made me laugh. Presumably if you're visiting Yosemite, you have an interest in nature - these hummingbirds are an amazing sight each morning at breakfast, and at any other time you might be on the ground floor balcony.

We will definitely be back to this fantastic B&B next time we visit Yosemite.

It is difficult to add anything different to all the positive reviews already given because we wholeheartedly agree with everything that has been written! As mentioned in other reviews, the location is perfect, the inn immaculate, surrounding scenery spectacular, delicious breakfasts and, most importantly, exceptional hosts. Liz and Ron treated us as if we were the Royal Family themselves and graciously welcomed us into their beautiful home from arrival to departure. Prior to our arrival, I received a thoughtful email from Ron reassuring me that they were not experiencing any bad effects from the Rim Fire. Upon arrival, they encouraged us to enjoy takeout from the restaurant around the corner on our private deck on the third floor, which would be wonderful any time, but was especially so after a tiring day traveling and hiking. It was lovely to enjoy the fresh air and starry, starry nights and relax with a glass of wine from our trip to the vineyards. Our every need was anticipated and taken care of. They brought up an additional chair for the deck, added a rollaway cot to one of the rooms, and prepared extra food for breakfast to make sure everyone did not go away hungry which I’m sure no one ever would! Liz did a beautiful job designing the inn and it is obvious they both enjoy sharing it with their guests. We loved visiting and wished we had more time to spend at the inn but our stay was over way too quickly. Thank you Ron and Liz for a wonderful two days. We look forward to returning in the future for a longer visit!

My husband and I got married on top of Half Dome in Yosemite with august (13 hour round trip hike, with a wedding dress and tux in our backpacks.) and spent the first 6 nights of our honey moon at the Blue Butterfly Inn.

Liz's Breakfast was better than most gourmet breakfasts either of us have had.

Every Room was beautifully decorated, entire house immaculately cleaned. I am allergic to cats and it was so clean I couldn't tell there were cats in the house until I saw them. I have three cats at home and take medication to keep the sniffles under control- but I didn't even had to take anything for it while I was there.

Ron and Liz seem to love spending time telling guests about local history, places to visit, things to do. Ron is a rock climber and if you're into that he's a wealth of info if you need recommendations.

I was nervous that because it was a traditional bed and breakfast and they live in the house it wouldn't be as private as we wanted or we wouldn't have enough freedom- but it was never a problem. Asked for a front door key so we could come and go, and while we were in our room we were never bothered.
