We found this by chance as we glanced to our left on leaving Yosemite, and we are glad we did. The young lady who seemed to be running the bar and restaurant alone was very friendly and attentive and took our orders quickly, also ensuring that our drinks were never empty. My wife and I had the steak on bread - deliciously grilled medium-rare - my fifteen year old enjoyed his crispy chicken strips and my youngster declared his kids cheeseburger very good. The fries were amazing as was the ranch sauce.
The decor needs help. We battled to find a booth without a torn seat. It needs a good dose of modernising. They did however very kindly allow us to use the swimming pool next to the restaurant and all told it was a good time.

Great burgers and margaritas!!! Chips and salsa were nice to when you just wanted to munch. The next day we ate the buffet breakfast and it was a very good variety of choices and quality of food.

This is one two eateries located at the Cedar Lodge Hotel but both are owned and operated by another company. The main restaurant wa not open yet, so we went into the grille and had the Chicken Breast Sandwich and the California Melt with sauteed onions. They were both GREAT, but the highlight of the visit was the new bartender/server named Michael who is pleasant and talkative. He'll make sure you are well taken care of - we had 3 drinks with our meal and spent $43 bucks so remember you are in the Yosemite area and will get gouged wherever you go.

Food only served til 8:30 and the staff was not too friendly. Can't speak to the food because I couldn't get any. Seems awfully early to close down a kitchen when only other restaurant is 20+ minutes in either direction. Manage your park and dinner plans accordingly.
