This was the second time we had stayed at Cedar Lodge, and our third visit to Yosemite National Park so we knew exactly where things were located and how far from the park entrance we were. Answering that question now, the hotel is about 15-20 minutes from the park entrance assuming you’re adhering to the speed limits.
Check-in at Cedar Lodge was again simple and straightforward, and the directions to our room were clear and accurate. This was located on the first floor and accessible via a flight of stairs at the end of the car park. The room was clean(ish) and tidy with two very comfortable queen size beds, small sofa, coffee table, TV, fridge, desk, aircon and the usual bathroom facilities. The room is fairly long and the furnishings are dark wood, and as there is only a window at the front of the room, it does appear dark inside. This is not a complaint, but simply an observation.
The reception area has a small shop area, and there is also an onsite restaurant. This plus an indoor and outdoor swimming pool adds to the attraction of this as a base for visiting YNP.
My usual rating process has already been answered as this in our second visit to this establishment, and again we would stay here again.

Comfortable cozy room with shower with tub! The bathroom is quite old though.
But l think it’s far from Yosemite park (the area where we actually go hiking) so l think if you don’t have car, it will be hard.

The place is old fashioned, our room was really humid and smelly (no extraction in the restroom). Quite noisy, breakfast is not included. The staff was not as nice as in previous places.
Swimming pool and breakfast buffet compensated a bit.

This place is so convenient right next to the entrance of the Yosemite national park. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The issue was $8 for wifi for each device, $20 breakfast. There is plenty of parking. Its just great to be in a motel near the park instead of campground.
