We went to Yosemite with the 89 year old parents in late Spetmeber. Great time of year but no water in the Valley. This hotel is about 3 minutes south of the El Portal entrance. If you have stayed in the Valley and the meadow and you would like to pay less without as many crowds, this hotel is consistently good. Be sure to pay a little extra and get a room on the Merced River. The handicapped rooms are wonderful (the parent requires accessilbe everything). The food at the restaurant is no more (and at times less) pricey than anything in the Valley and better than everything DNC has to offer in the Valley. If you are without a car, the YART stops at this hotel, but I would recommend a car.
There is no room service here.
The rooms we stayed in had a frig and a stove top and sink and all the dishes and stuff you need to cook with.
Staff are nice.
The little store is good for quick food and the coffee the mornings I used it was great.
WiFi costs $5 but I do not use it when I am in Yosemite.More
