We stayed here 15 Sep 2012.
We had a ground floor room and the view was OK once you looked past the 5ft metal railing around our terrace which looked like some kind of dog pound/zoo caging and didn't help set a good outlook. The balconies on higher floors don't have this problem.
The rooms and bathrooms are dated.
The food at the restaurant is good and there is a well sized supermarket on-site.

Room Tip: Avoid the ground floor rooms if you enjoy sitting on the balcony - The larger terraces on the ground floor are not at all attractive and the fencing ruins the view and creates a feeling of imprisonement.

Rooms are old, stains on the carpet. Stains and wholes in the sheets. Shower curtain was broken. Towels smell. Cleanliness is very bad here. Complained about it and they did clean the carpet but the rest was still the same. New sheets on the bed had stains as well.

The swimming pool was dirty as well.

On our way to the next hotel we discovered that a 100 dollar bill was stolen from one of the bags. Called management twice, unfortunately no one returned our call. Have to take this up with our travel agent when we return.

Very expensive rooms for the poor conditions they are in. Wifi is only available in the Lobby for 9 dollars/ 24 hours, but who will stay in the Lobby for 24 hours to use Wifi???

The only thing nice to say about this hotel is the view we had.

Stayed here for 3 nights and was ideal for driving into the park each day - literally 5 mins to the entrance. As other people have said the hotel is more of a motel, but the rooms are spacious and clean, just a bit tired decor. The bar area (and outside patio) is nice to have a drink after a long day in the park. The pizza place was also great - we had take out in our rooms every night. Very reasonable prices for food and drink. Unless you want to pay expensive rates to stay actually in the park then this is a good choice. We also had breakfast in the main restaurant - this was good value as a big buffet choice.

We recently stayed for one night as a stop over between San Francisco and Vegas, and for that it was fine. The Lodge is more of a motel and I was a little disappointed by that. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was large and clean, though the decor was tired. The air con was effective if abit noisy. The room had a fridge, hob, plates and glasses. All perfectly fine but nothing luxurious about it. The Lodge has a restaurant, pizzeria, and a small grocery store in reception. Ideal as a stop-over or as a base for exploring Yosemite; the main village/visitor centre is just a few minutes drive away.
