Stayed here for 3 nights and was ideal for driving into the park each day - literally 5 mins to the entrance. As other people have said the hotel is more of a motel, but the rooms are spacious and clean, just a bit tired decor. The bar area (and outside patio) is nice to have a drink after a long day in the park. The pizza place was also great - we had take out in our rooms every night. Very reasonable prices for food and drink. Unless you want to pay expensive rates to stay actually in the park then this is a good choice. We also had breakfast in the main restaurant - this was good value as a big buffet choice.

We recently stayed for one night as a stop over between San Francisco and Vegas, and for that it was fine. The Lodge is more of a motel and I was a little disappointed by that. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was large and clean, though the decor was tired. The air con was effective if abit noisy. The room had a fridge, hob, plates and glasses. All perfectly fine but nothing luxurious about it. The Lodge has a restaurant, pizzeria, and a small grocery store in reception. Ideal as a stop-over or as a base for exploring Yosemite; the main village/visitor centre is just a few minutes drive away.

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a road trip. We had a river view with patio. The river view was lovely, we had a raccoon, as well as some squirrels on the patio. Our first night we spotted a coyote across the river. We enjoyed the wildlife aspect of our stay but the bars surrounding the patios are not unlike those in a prison. The room was really horrid. Very gloomy and so horribly furnished and decorated. There is a little kitchen but really, the room was so horrid we wanted to spend as little time there as possible. The bathroom was surprisingly ok, looked like it had been updated.
Towels were threadbare with holes in them.
We had takeaway pizza on the patio one night which was pretty good. Second night we tried the restaurant. We thought the food was reasonable and staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfasts were quite enjoyable too.
Didn't use the pools so can't comment on those.
We loved Yosemite and hope that this hotel can get the rooms up to a decent quality.

Rather tired but clean, so ok. Swimming pool although bit grotty was ideal for the kids to cool down. Wish we 'd booked a river room. Pizza bar was the highlight, delicious pizza, watching the marauding raccoons. A short drive into the park, which is why you are there after all.

Room Tip: River room would be a far better experience.
