Holiday Inn Express El Dorado Hills Hotel

We stayed in this hotel during our vacation to Northern CA. After spending the day driving along Hwy. 49 and visiting gold rush towns, we were pleasantly surprised to come to the town of El Dorado Hills. The area in which the hotel is located is a upscale, newly developed area consisting of shopping, business parks, restaurants, and even a movie theatre.

The hotel is also very new and we were super impressed with the friendly and professional front desk staff. Our room was very spacious with lots of great amenities including a separate living room/bedroom, fridge/microwave, TV with lots of cable channels, a whirlpool tub, double sink vanity, and a curved shower curtain rod. The bed was clean and plush. Wi-fi was free.

The value is excellent for the rate. We paid $123.95 with AAA.

We enjoyed walking to the movie theatre. We left with 10 minutes to spare before showtime with no problem. There is a pretty fountain and pond that you cross over on the walk so it's romantic. There's also a nice Chili's Restaurant that's open late so there's somewhere to eat when the movie ends!

We would definitely stay here again!

We visited the area for a family wedding. We have stayed at several places west of El Dorado Hills as we have family in the area.
As we left the valley and began to climb the rolling hills, I knew we were going to like our new find.
El Dorado Hills is a newer area and Town Center, where the hotel is located, is very nice. There are several stores and restaurants, large and small, within a short walk as well as a huge movie theater. The "lake" that is behind the hotel, is a great focal point and has lots of fish, turtles, and a rumored river otter...fun to watch the animals. No fishing though, to my teenage son's chagrin.
We arrived a bit earlier than check in time but were given a room right away.
The front desk was very helpful and friendly.
Our room was large and very nice. The decor was better than expected and the comfort of the room was excellent in every way-from the chair and ottoman to the linens.
We had other family staying there and spent a couple of hours in the lobby watching tv waiting for and visiting with them.
The room was quiet-very important to me as I am a light sleeper.
I loved having a ceiling fan to help circulate the air.
The breakfast buffet was wonderful-many bread choices, cheese omlettes, sausage, hard boiled eggs, cereal, bananas, coffee juice, milk, and more.
Check out was a breeze.
Hope we have another opportunity to stay here and wll definitely recommend it!

We stayed this past Saturday at the Holiday Inn Express in El Dorado Hills, CA. The property does have very nice amenities, such as a nice pool location, a very good breakfast (although not enough seating for all the guests who show up at 9:00 am)., and is located within walking distance to trendy restaurants as well other shopping center stores. This is a brand new inn, which was completely full, and which had one, very SLOW elevator to accomodate everyone with all their luggage. The air conditioner in our room sounded like a 747 getting ready for takeoff. SInce it's very hot in the summer in the valley, the air conditioner is a necessity, even at night, so this problem contributed to a serious inability to sleep. Overall, given the price, I would look for somewhere else to stay.

We spent the weekend at this hotel and had a nice time. There is a pretty little lake and walking trail mixed in with little shops and restaurants. I would not recommend the Bistro 33 for the food or service, as both were in need of improvement. The Holiday Inn was nice and clean, no problems there, but the pool was in dire need of some shade. There was only one outdoor table with an umbrella, so our family with young children had no where to go to get out of the sun.

We usually stay at expensive five star resorts, bed & breakfasts and villas. So I was a little apprehensive about booking the Holiday Inn for family traveling to California for our sons wedding. This was our first time in Sacramento and I was unfamiliar with the area.
Check-in was quick and the front desk staff were very pleasant. They went out of their way to meet our accommodation needs and make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were very clean, roomy and pleasant. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows just right.
The hot breakfast buffet was wonderful ..... satisfying our various dietary needs and finicky eaters. Vicki, the breakfast attendant, provided a cheerful greeting each morning and went to great lengths to make sure everyones needs were met and the buffet remained stocked and fresh.
The location was within walking distance of stores, restaurants and entertainment. Just off the freeway with easy access to Sacramento and the surrounding area.
This truly was a perfect stay. Thank you.

This hotel is located in a shopping center. You pretty much couldn't ask for a better location for food, entertainment and shopping.

In typical Holiday Inn Express fashion the rooms were well appointed, including a refrigerator, microwave, flat screen tv, large bathroom and a super comfy bed with beautiful, cozy linens.

The check in staff was polite and helpful, check in went very quick and smooth.

I must say when we stay at hotels we usually don't have much good luck finding a good breakfast. We typically run in to the usual muffins, pastries, fruit, yogurt and coffee scenario. This usually means I end up at a fast food drive thru to get something with some form of protein in it. When we stayed here, we didn't have that problem. All the stuff listed above was there. Along with donuts, oatmeal, 3 kinds of juice, Mini-egg omellettes (cheese, and denver with cheese), bacon, sausage, and hot biscuits. Also available were hard boiled eggs and multiple kinds of cereal. I was VERY impressed with the free breakfast. The staff member in charge of the buffet kept everything full, clean and at the appropriate temperature.

I can't really recommend this hotel enough. The only slight problem we had is parking. Since this is in a shopping center the hotel shares parking with the center. This made for a pretty long walk in the dark back from dinner, and with a lot of suitcases. I suggest you just pack appropriately and unload your car in the check in area.
