Cape Fear excels at breakfast which is best enjoyed on the sunny patio (shade optional). But the menu for dinner also offers ample choices. The dining room is small'ish, very cozy and tastefully decorated. We stopped recently for a cup of chowder and salmon-crab cakes after watching the sun set on the nearby coast. Both were excellent. You can't go wrong with Cape Fear any time of the year as you pass through tiny, gallery-studded Duncans Mills. Enjoy the atmosphere on a dark winter night as you sit by the windows. The table lamps give it an atmosphere of an old-fashioned dining car on a train. Limited hours during the winter.
