This hyatt place is located in a good area. If you're going downtown, there's a BART station nearby (don't recommend driving into the city if you don't have to).

Otherwise, this is a typical Hyatt place, which I love staying in for business travel.

i like to eat well when traveling on business, the location was great for that. i didn't like the pool location ( next to gas station), but the hotel is nice, very clean and the location is great.

I just finished up a 3 day weekend stay here. The hotel is conveniently located off I-580 next to a large shopping center. The BART station is a bit too far to walk to for most people, but the hotel does have a shuttle that is available 7AM to 7 PM.

The rooms themselves are spacious and were spotlessly clean. It had a media connection system whereby you could connect a laptop or device with an HDMI-out to the TV, though I never used it. The TV was a large flat screen, but only a handful of channels were actually in HD.

Despite being on the corner of two major streets, traffic noise wasn't a problem, even though my room faced the intersection. What was a problem was noise from the elevator, which was next to my room.

A couple of gripes:

1. Parking directly in front of the hotel is limited and often fills up by 6PM. If you can't find a spot in front of the hotel, you have to find one in front of the retail stores. There is no street parking allowed.

2. The included breakfast was average, and the breakfast area is small and hard to maneuver in with plastic plates full of food. Seating is also very limited.

Stayed here for an interview. Quiet room, had a couch, desk, small fridge and coffee maker. Added bonus of a dressing area outside the bath area so no steamed-up mirrors to deal with. There was a wall A/C, noisy, never shuts down so be prepared.

"Free" breakfast, but very marginal. At least the coffee was excellent.
No in-house restaurant, you have to find one in the large mall complex next door if you want to eat. Not far to walk, beware in bad weather.

WOW! This was my first time staying at Hyatt Place and I was impressed! From the moment I entered the lobby, it was nothing but a great experience. It's a very modern/boutique style spot. Great service from the front desk staff all around. This isn't a full service Hyatt so there is no bellman, but there are self service luggage carts. I loved the rooms, they were spacious and so welcoming. The hotel is also right in a shopping center with retailers such as Barnes and Noble, Five Guys, a movie theater and clothing stores just to name a few. I wish I could've stayed longer. I'll definitely stay at a Hyatt Place again.

Clean huge suites with huge living area. A family could easily stay here with shopping and restaurants next door. Great staff and location (no freeway noise) and comfy beds. Will definitely stay here again!

We spent two nights in this hotel as a stop over on our trip to San Deigo. We were so pleased with it that I booked it again the following weekend on our trip back home. One of our favorite things about this hotel was that it was within walking distancing to shopping, restaurants, and an IMAX movie theater. The rooms are spacious and we loved having a seperate seating area. We found the breakfast to be slightly below average but this day in age its rare to find free breakfast at all. So no complants from us. We will stay again.
