This is your typical Embassy Suites Hotel. Each room comes with either two double beds or a king in one room, a sofa, table and small kitchenette in the other room. A full breakfast is served each morning and this is included in the room charge. We have stayed several times and have found wedding receptions taking place each time. There is noise (music, loud talking) from these receptions since the hotel is built around an atrium and the reception rooms are on the first floor. The good thing is that these receptions must end at midnight and the whole place settles down. There is only an indoor pool (no sunny Californian outdoor pool) with the smell of chlorine obvious in certain areas of the atrium. The rooms are clean and there is a Koi pond in the middle of this atrium with ducks roaming about. The breakfast is good. The hotel restaurant for lunch & dinner is usually empty but there is a Mimi's in the same parking lot and a HomeTown Buffet & Denny's across the street. There is also the Downey Civic Theater on the same lot.
