This tiny restaurant has it all. The food is unbelieavably fantastic. The service is top-notch. Sam is wonderful. The place is unpretentious. It's casual and is the kind of place where you want to meet friends and have an excellent meal and some wine. We had heard great things about Allez, and decided it was time we tried it. I had the cassoulet, which was a special that night, and my wife had coq au vin. Both entrees were off-the-charts good. The cassoulet was loaded with sausage, duck, lamb and of course, white beans. Incredible. The coq was served with a side of garlic mashed potatoes, which was perfect for sopping up the the delicious gravy. There were chunks of tender chicken, carrots and small pearly onions. Just a perfect combination of flavors. Who would have thought there would be a French bistro in Diamond Springs this good? We sure didn't, but we are now believers. It is a place where you want to be a regular. The prices are reasonable, even the wine prices are extremely affordable. Great food at a great price with excellent service. That says it all.

Been here twice now for Lunch on the way to Tahoe. Great service and Food. Really nice to sit outside on a warm day (can have the Dog out of the Car and by the Table for fresh air). Hopefully, they can now serve Alcohol outside (waiting for license) and will find out this week when we stop by again. Great Pastries also. Will try some food to go this time so we don't have to cook when we get to the Cabin. Worth the side trip off the Hwy.

The food is great and not expensive.
The sauces are very well done, the wines are either from California or from France and the chef is definitely from France.

What a neat find! The food was so flavorful. The servers were very attentive, but not in an annoying way. They allowed us to sample the wines before we made our final decision, which was really helpful.

We arrived at 5:30pm on a Saturday and were able to get a table for 3 easily. However, about 45 minutes later, there were people standing around for tables. It's a tiny place, but well worth the wait! (They also have take-out if you can't wait for a table.)

We will definitely return! :)

A surprisingly great dinner in an out of the way place. I'm looking forward to coming back again. The salmon special was absolutely wonderful.
