Miracle Springs Resort and Spa
Reviewed June 8, 2012

My friend and I had massages at the Miracle Springs Spa just this week. It was a wonderful experience. Our therapists were Michelle and Julie and they were excellent massage therapists. We visited the mineral water pools and spas outside and enjoyed that also. We will definately return to the spa. We are local residence so we did not stay at the hotel.

This hotel was ok, Unfortunately on the weekend they offer day passes for the local people. The pool was packed! Not very relaxing at all. The spa part was nice, but I wouldn't go back, especially over a weekend.

In desperate need of a quick getaway, my friend and I booked a night here, to enjoy their spa service and to soak in their amazing mineral pools. This is not a luxurious spa destination, but the prices of their services are reasonable and fair.

We arrived three and half hours before we were able to check-in, but immediately booked a massage and enjoyed the main pool before check-in. After our massage our room was ready and we were still able to check-in two hours early.

1. Hotel location is in the middle of nowhere, but not too far away from Downtown Palm Springs.
2. We found the staff service friendly and helpful.
3. Our room was clean and spacious with a large patio that overlooked the pool. Looks a little tired, needs to be remodeled, but has a mini fridge, microwave and a decent TV (Not a Flat-Screen), and free Wi-Fi. I did have trouble finding a convenient power outlet.
4. The pools are heated to different levels, open 24/7, and not too crowded
5. Bathroom towels are a nightmare. They are tiny and very thin.
6. The breakfast at Capri was delicious.
7. We loved the massage! Daryl was very professional, however, the spa was not beautiful or well maintained but it was affordable.

Yes, Stanley our lead reservation agent is a treasure! Your experience with certain night personnel was unacceptable and I am passing your review onto the department head for some remedial counseling. Customer service is our #1 priority, and we appreciate the heads up you've given us.

The rooms are clean and spacious, with fridge, microwave and a decent TV (not flat-screen, but good enough), but the real draw of course are the hot spring-filled pools. They are heated to different levels, so check them all out, and generally I've found them to be not too crowded, particularly if you're strategic abour your soak times (and the pools are available 24 hours a day). A couple of minor complaints, I had trouble finding a convenient power outlet (I ended up using one behind the sofa) and the shower in my room didn't supply consistent hot water, but you can always just walk outside in the desert heat or jump into (I mean, climb in carefully) one of the warmer spring pools.

Went with a couple girlfriends (without our kids) for what we thought would be a nice relaxing spa weekend....boy were we wrong!! I have been coming to Miracle Springs for years and I have to say I will never come back. The ONLY reason would be for the fabulous spa services but NEVER to stay in such a rundown hotel with UNLOCKED DOORS to allow any kind of riff-raff to just waltz right in anytime they please and take over the place with their giant coolers/rude behavior. Carving whole watermelons with hunting knives while sprawled out on the grass...classy! But that was after the group of unruly parents and children (about 20) had overtaken the pool with their "ball game" followed by an obnoxious Marco Polo game!! We had to get out of the pool so we wouldn't get hit with the ball anymore...how ridiculous!! Apparently this so called "spa" now allows day passes which really just means walk in through the unlocked doors for free access. The only reason to come to Miracle Springs was because they didn't allow the undesirables in for the day like the sister hotel next door which was like a jungle. Well now there's a new jungle in town!!! That's why I say bye bye Miracle Springs...NEVER EVER AGAIN.
Oh AND the management walked through the pool area and said "Hello" to all the riff-raff so please don't bother responding. You obviously all know each other. I have been coming here for at least 10 years and the doors haven't locked for the past 5 years. Nice try with the fake security on Saturday night...WHAT a joke....maybe you should have security during the day on the weekends...OR, here's an idea....get the locks fixed....Oh.... then you can't let all your friends in for free. You prefer to rip off out-of-towners. Nice!!!!

Thanks Miracle Springs for one of the worst Mother's Day "Spa" vacations we have ever had. Imagine listening to screaming, terribly behaved kids along with their parents all weekend!!! Except for the wonderful spa...that one treatment made up for the whole weekend. Thanks hardworking ladies in the spa. But sorry to say we won't be back.

Room Tip: Stay away from this hellhole
