“Healing mineral waters at a resonable cost.”
Reviewed November 10, 2011

Let me start off by saying that we did not stay here. We just came for the mineral pools and a massage. It was a very nice experience. Everything went smoothly - check in and such. There are eight pools with different temperatures. It's like "this one is just right" kind of thing so you can really find the pool that best suits your needs. We actually liked all the pools and switched from time to time. I am telling you, the pools felt wonderful and really got rid of most of my aches and pains. Our massages were perfect. Just the right amount of pressure. The showers and changing area were very clean and looked like they were well taken care of. The location itself sits up on a hill and the views from the pools are very nice. The cost of all of this was very reasonable. A lot less than a fancy spa elsewhere and just as good. I want to note that it is about 30 minutes drive from Palm Springs but no traffic so an easy drive.

Thank you for saying we run a good hotel! We are especially sorry you didn’t enjoy your meals here. Ironically, we provide all the food that Sea Mountain Resort serves, and hope you enjoyed any meals you had there. Not only do we utilize an absolute minimum of “bought in” frozen, canned and packaged ingredients (Chef Santucci wouldn’t hear of it!), we even make our own bread, desserts, Italian sausage and most other items from scratch right here on the premises.

Booked a king bed online after check-in ended up with 2 queen beds after calling the desk was told because we booked on line they couldn't guarantee the bed size and upgraded us to a Jr. Suite. It would of been nice if we were told this up front. When I turned on the A/C it rattled bad. So if you are staying in Room 138 look at the A/C if you see a washcloth and a couple of plastic bags holding the AC from moving don't touch them or it will start rattling again. One morning the toilet clogged and as we were leaving for the day I called the Front Desk and reported it they and they told us it would be fixed. (Hint to housekeeping when you clean a room check the toilet) in the evening when we returned housekeeping had cleaned the room but the toilet was still clogged. On the first day they also apparently resold or room we had a lady show up at the door trying to get in. My wife and I have worked in Hotels for years so we understand hao the economy has forced reductions but attention to details and service is critical to a hotels survival. The engineer who finally fixed the toilet was profesional and I feel bad that the Front Desk and Housekeeping dropped the ball so he had to appear after the dammage was done. I do still like the hotel the pools and spas were great.

We are sorry to hear of the glitches during your stay here. There was obviously a miscommunication between the front desk and housekeeping this time, and I have forwarded your review to the departments involved. You’ll be glad to hear we’ve replaced the A/C unit in that room, and very much appreciate your taking the time to alert us to the problem.

Terrible. Where to start? The rooms...take your pick, tiny ants or cricket-type bugs (crawled across my neck at night)..watch for them on the walls and ceiling when it gets dark, broken switch, broken appliances, towels...like the bar towels costco sells, only slightly bigger...good news is that you can exfoliate with them. Pools..usually clean, sometimes a gas smell...propane? Coming from the pool equipment house. Keys...interesting hole punched antiques...$15.00 when you lose one. Restaurant...slow service, mediocre to bad food. Front desk...Brandi was nice. Price...4star price for a 2 star hotel in the middle of nowhere.

We are very sorry for your unsatisfactory experience, and appreciate your taking the time to write a review, which we take very seriously. We encourage our guests, both verbally and in a 4-1/2x11” in-room card, to report any issues or problems they may have immediately so we may attend to them. Here is what the card says: “When You Arrive, Is everything satisfactory? If not, please call the Front Desk and we’ll take care of it immediately! (Dial Ext 4500, 4501 or 760 251-6000). During Your Stay, If you come across anything that needs maintenance or attention, please note it on this sheet and leave it in your room or return to the front desk. Thank you for your help!” Then, under Needs Attention, there are 5 lines the guest may fill in. All calls and card submissions go to the appropriate department for immediate action. These are all attended to within 20 minutes of our notification; most of the time much more quickly.

We don’t have any significant pest problem here, but we’re not completely pest free (nowhere is). Like all hotels, we have a regular pest elimination program which is very effective.

Regarding the restaurant, you’ll be glad to hear that we brought the Capri Restaurant, with a 35-year record of culinary and service excellence, here to Miracle Springs on October 6th.

I didn't stay in the hotel, but my sister, mom and I used the spa at the Miracle Springs Hotel and we all had a very pleasant experience. The lady who booked our massages over the phone was the same person who checked us in later at the lobby and she was nothing but kind, helpful and personable. I wish I had noticed her name. The young lady who set us up with our robes and lockers was friendly and efficient. We tried all eight pools and enjoyed every one. We found them to be well maintained. My massage therapist, Nancy, gave me a wonderful one hour massage and my sister and mom both said they were very pleased with their massages. The showers and changing area were clean and looked like they were well taken care of. The hotel itself sits up on a hill and the views from the pools are very nice.

Had an awful experience. Shower curtain had mold and after 2 calls and talking to Manager it still wasn't replace before we left. Sheets had a cruted spot the night we arrived. Killed bugs in bath room. TV's extremely old. One wouldn't even get cable with out a box and there was no box. Had room service fro breakfast and table was not cleaned when the room was cleaned. Security doors broken. Had trouble opening door. Key are old fashion and do not work well. I could go on....

INCREDIBLE ! hotel has such remarkable ambiance. The mountains in the background, snow capped, nice landscaping, and the pools, many various sizes to suit everyone. Go from the big to the small and more intimate. Most relaxing weekend I ever spent. I was going to a wedding , and stayed here for the weekend. I felt bad leaving when I had to go back to New York. Wish I had spent a whole week here. Nice gift shop. Very good restaurant, nice decor. Friendly staff and very nice gift shop. Don't hesitate at all !!

Room Tip: closest to the pool area
