“Loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2013

We went for a day trip to Sea Mountain. We were greeted by enthusiastic hosts and wonderful weather! The pool was the perfect temperature and the air was a warm 85 degrees. Although we did not see the rooms, the other amenities were great. They serve a buffet and come around frequently to refill your margaritas and offer shots! The showers and restrooms were clean and well stocked. Dewey and the staff obviously love their jobs! The crowd was a mix of young and old. everyone there was friendly and respectful. We would highly recommend SMI to anyone who is looking to meet great people and hang out au natural! we can't wait to go again!

I would not be able to describe the full nature of our experience even if I wrote a novel. Dewey and his staff are top-notch hosts and we did not want for anything. We came up to Palm Springs from the San Diego area for business and since it was Friday, we decided to see what the place was all about. We came for a day pass and stayed the entire weekend! I couldn't have made a better decision or choice. I have been receiving the e-mails from SMI for a couple of months and wanted to check it out and this was our opportunity. We absolutely love this place and began to refer to it as our new "country club". We were made to feel welcome from the very start. As soon as we were checked in we were offered a margarita and after a short tour we were told to relax and enjoy. And that is exactly what we did. The weight and worry of the every day grind quickly evaporated as we took in the atmosphere of our new surrounding and our smiles became permanent for the duration of our stay. It was absolutely wonderful to be ourselves and among a group of like-minded couples. Dewey has done a terrific job of finding the perfect staff, and they paid attention to every detail for the guests. They are dedicated, happy and attractive. As soon as I am finished writing this review, I will be calling and booking a full week end for next month. We were not able to stay in one of the suites, but we will update our review for that next month. I can't imagine anything but another slice of heaven, and we look forward to enjoying SMI many times this summer. There is no other place like this on earth that I know of and I recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy some relaxation in a clean, friendly, and pressure-free setting. Thanks Dewey and to your entire staff I say Bravo! Bravo!

The operative word being "little". We had a great time and hope to return. Many of the guests are repeat visitors and we can see why. HOWEVER: If you are used to larger resorts like Hedo or Caliente, you need to shift your paradigm. It would be like comparing a home B&B to a Marriott.

All of SMI is contained in a rectangular walled compound that's about 125 feet on each side. It appears to have originally been a motel court that has been upgraded and re-purposed and is now in a modest residential area that has grown up around it. The facility is inward-facing with every inch of its grounds chock full of some feature or another. The view is of the facility itself and the sky, the sun, the clouds, the stars. Don't even try looking out the back windows of the rooms, you'll spoil the mood.

To get the other negative out of the way: as we understand it, due to permitting issues SMI is not allowed to have a full kitchen on premises. That's why they don't do full food service and instead routinely bring in the infamous fried chicken and cold cuts for lunch. Breakfast is bagels, cereal, etc. They will facilitate having take-out dinners brought in for you, which is useful if you want to keep playing and/or not put clothes on. There is no dining room, and what food service there is, is self-service in the cramped "motel office"; no space for it. (This is why I can't give SMI 5 stars.) We went out for dinner every night except one; nearby Palm Springs has a huge selection of great restaurants.

So anyway: this is an intimate place with personalized and caring service. There are only about 15 rooms so the staff get to know everyone staying there. On a busy day/evening there will be far more day pass guests, who contribute to the erotic energy of the place. Overnight guests can get up early and claim their pick of ther best poolside daybeds. There will still be plenty of chaises for the day guests.

Activities: this is a private club so just about anything between consenting adults is okay. This is "sex positive space" with an encouraging and supportive erotic atmosphere. We were a traveling 3some (Dewey the owner, and his staff, will easily know who's writing this) with me, my wife and our GF doing whatever we felt like doing, in whatever combination of twos and threes we felt like having. (I do some rope bondage and our girls use various toys.) We loved the open play atmosphere.

The guests: this was the hottest Lifestyle crowd we've ever seen. Not only the women but the guys too. Usually at Hedo or Caliente our girls are considered hot but here they had plenty of company. Of course there was a variety of shapes, sizes and ages (all welcome) but you hook up with your own level and there were all levels to be had. It's an expensive venue so the clientele tends to be upscale. Since the place sells out, why should they charge any less, it's a business not a charity.

The eclectic, eccentric Zen-ish decor is a trip. Our GF (for some reason) started counting outdoor Buddahs and got up to 57. (Don't know how many others are inside the rooms.) Music plays pretty much 24/7 at various volume levels. Sleep was surprisingly good though the music (which BTW was excellent and well matched to the mood of the place) could still be heard, which is why I can't say sleep was great, only good. That kind of goes with this type of facilty, similar to Hedo in that regard.

The place has such a wonderfully comfortable and free and supportive erotic energy about it. I liked it, my wife loved it. We'd all go back, the only impediment for us is that we're all from the east coast so there is a lot of flying for us to get there. I don't know if there is any way to really convey the positive energy of the place, behind those walls it's a world of its own.

Room Tip: Rooms on main pool side are a bit quieter at night when the main action is in the hot tub.

start off to say, the staff was incredibly friendly and informative over the phone. They made me fee comfortable and ready for an amazing time with my husband. We got there and saw the art, decor and pool and were so ready to relax and unwind. we spent alot of time in the room of course, with its flat screen tvs, special surprises, and utmost importantly a huge comfy multi layered mattress heaven of a bed. I WANT ONE! The pool and parties they had at night were fun but most fun for me was just the personal time we spent together. And just to see a staff that cares so much about making my experience unique and enjoyable! Thanks guys :) I will recommend this place as a spot to all my friends internationally as well, no one should be deprived of the magic of sea mountain. hearts

My hubby and I had a great time here. The place was super clean and we love the warm mineral swimming pool. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and some even sexy. The fried chicken was yummy and they always have some light snacks for you to eat. There is also a micrcowave and a fridge in the room so it’s easy eat in the room.

I had requested for a room far away from the hot tub but Dewey (love this guy) insisted that we get room #9 (right in front of the hot tub). You can hear the music from the nightclub room but it didn't bother us. It was nice to be able to watch all the sexual activities in the hot tub from our bed. It was also close to the sauna. The people there were friendly and were all couples. They were there to spend time with one another and if you want to play with the couples, there is no pressure. If you are there just to add some spice to your relationship, it’s a perfect place.

They gave us two nice soft plush robes which I wore the whole time. I kept it on most of the time and no one cared. It was cold and rainy when we were there but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the hottub and the sauna.

We can’t wait to come back here.

this was not our first experience at a nude resort but SMI is something different and special. Dewey what can I say .. he makes you feel at home and the staff are the best. The food is not fancy but excellent. The vibs at the place is relaxing and you can feel the love in the are and all the excitement. This was our first visit to a lifestyle resort and my wife and I are begining soft swingers but felt at home. The people are great and very courtious no pressure at all. We plan to go many more time but this time staying a few days not just a day pass.

We stayed several nights at Sea Mountain over New Year break. The rooms are nice, spacious, and attractively furnished. The 24 hour snacks provided are just OK, but the food provided on New Year's Eve was nice.

However, our visit was marred by a largish lump of fecal matter floating by us in the hot tub quite early on New Year's Eve.

The brown torpedo was scooped out of the water by the very competent site manager, but the hot-tub remained open all night. . Guess a massive influx of chemicals to the water kills the E coli.

It's not the fault of Sea Mountain that guests would behave in such an offensive and childish manner. There is a toilet close by the hot tub and pool.

But... we won't be returning to Sea Mountain again. It is very expensive, and clearly the caliber of some guests do not warrant our return.

Why DUMP on us or take a dump at the sanitary Sea Mountain. The resort really cant take this seriously, why one would wait weeks to post dumpster's and then rave about a competitor. In fact this did not happen. Its clearly false. Cleanliness, Pool Sanitation, are sanctified offerings at Sea Mountain Resort. All of our inspections on waters and health have received and A perfect A rating which is posted on the property. Health inspection by Riverside County and California State units have given Sea Mountain the highest perfect ratings 5 years in a row. Perhaps the dumper has dumped too deep -the pooper snooper did not bring this to any ones attention so its sounds silent but deadly. All jokes aside we love to hear feedback just not ones of brown torpedo's exploding from the bowels of our sacred guests!
