This is a small (10 rooms) spa motel. The motel is older but remodeled and very well kept. There is the old motel format, the rooms around the pool and the outside mineral water Jacuzzi. The pool is kept at 95 degrees, the Jacuzzi at 108.There is another indoor, fairly large, jacuzzi, and a dry sauna room , also inside. There are palm trees all around and one can see early in the morning a couple of roadrunner birds frolicking around. The clerk, Greg, was most gracious and accommodating. The clientele is mostly adults, since kids are not permitted, neither are pets; but I heard if the owner agrees, for a $50.00 fee you can bring the pooch, previous approval from owner. All rooms have full kitchens, and as I mentioned earlier, this is not a new facility but everything works and is very clean, with a very quiet environment. Beds have temperpudic mattresses. Weather in February is ~75 and sunny, some days it gets hotter. One day woke up early at 4 am and went to the indoor Jacuzzi, for a swim and a sauna. Very relaxing. It has no spa services in the premises, but they'll be happy to recommend some. Oh, has free Wi-Fi. Connection in the room was sort of slow, but there is a PC in the small lobby. No indoor garage but there are security cameras outside.

Room Tip: Rooms at the north side get the morning sun first...

We loved everything about our 2 night stay at Lido Palms. Our love affair started even before we checked in. We placed our reservation with Greg who was helpful, friendly and accommodating from the start. We checked in early, at Greg's suggestion, to a wonderful room with a separate generous kitchen that allowed one of us to do work on the computer with the free wifi while the other slept very comfortably in the memory foam enhanced bed. The three mineral pools were wonderful. The other guests were laid back, friendly when engaged but also respectful of our privacy. Somehow the low density encouraged thoughtful, relaxed and easy interactions between guests. We are looking forward to our next visit...soon we hope. You will simply not find a better combination of extraordinary service, tastefully remodeled accommodations and low density anywhere near Palm Springs.

My husband and I stayed with my mother and sister at The Lido over the Christmas holiday. This was our second stay here and after trying out a few other places, it has turned into our favorite place stay in Desert Hot Springs. We opted for one of the rooms with the two double beds instead of the king suite in order to have a larger kitchen for holiday cooking (and recliners in the living area!). We slept comfortably in one bed but if you are used to a large bed then opt for one of the king rooms.

The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay and the pool and spa are just fantastic. I have been having terrible shoulder issues (frozen shoulder) and three days soaking and swimming improved it significantly. My mother has arthritis and she said she felt like a new person after being there. The manager is very helpful but has relaxed style and the rooms are well kept.

Desert Hot Springs is a pokey little town but we really never spend any time in it. We stock up on supplies, cook at the place, and relax! If you must have a fancy dinner out, you can head down the road to nearby Palm Springs.

For a great winter get away (or anytime) for the right price, you can't beat Lido Palms resort & spa.
We stay only one night, but we wish we stayed a week! A very nice place, very quite and relaxing. The 90+ pool was the best swim I've had in years and rooms were clean and conformable.

Greg, the motel Manager was very accommodating for our every needs, and my GF had the best body massage in her life. This place takes you back to the old Palm Spring's heyday of motels & spas....I just can't say enough about this place! only... that we will be back to stay for more than one night!

Room Tip: Good location to restaurants, shopping and Joshua Trees Nat'l Park.

I was a day guest at Lido Palms in late August and completed a five day fast there. The Lido Palms is a beautiful resort, immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and much in keeping with the feeling and spirit of its surroundings. The architecture is clean and modern, I really enjoyed the mineral pools, and swimming there. There are breathtaking mountain views from the location.
