Hacienda Hot Springs Inn

We stayed here for a week and it was wonderful. The setting is lovely: soothing and relaxing without being overdone. Our room was charming, well appointed and well decorated, with a secluded private patio and kitchenette. The hot tub was just a few steps out our front door. Across the patio was an outdoor kitchen with a gas grill and other cooking necessities. The Hacienda is small, 6 rooms, and so it feels very peaceful, quiet and homey. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and very well maintained.

The Hacienda's manager, Karl, is a gracious and welcoming host. He was always available to help with whatever we needed, and he is very knowledgeable about the area (where to go, what to see, what to expect etc.)

Overall, the Hacienda is just a wonderful place to stay. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Room 4 was delightful.

When we arrived we instantly felt this was going to be a wonderful trip. The grounds are spectacular. Karl is very inviting and even meets you when you walk in. The rooms are quaint and clean. If there is one thing I would like to see in the rooms it would be somewhere to hang wet towels--it is a hot spring hotel, afterall. A hook on the patio wall or something similar would be nice. Because it is small there is respect for privacy as well as respect for any needs the guest has. The breakfast has coffee, juice, yogurt, fruit, breads, homemade granola (which is VERY good). There's organic milk and either almond or coconut milk.
We have already been talking about our next return visit. And we are normally not people who like going the same place very often.

I took a Watsu (water massage course) here and spent a full week in their beautiful pool, surrounded by plants and nature! The resort has a wonderfully intimate feel, with guests socializing in the hot tub when they want company or relaxing in silence in one of the sweet garden nooks when they want to be alone. They have a wonderful staff, with the owner, Karl, always checking in to make sure all your needs are fully satisfied. When you're a guest there, you can tell he genuinely cares for your wellbeing. This is a place full of relaxation, natural beauty, and friendliness, and I highly recommend it!

We were welcomed sincerely by Carl and the staff and felt much like family. The other guests made it very relaxed with casual conversation too; very laid back...yet we felt like minor celebrities. Awesome oasis-like property with nooks and a tinkling stream... But the cozy room with the king bed was hard to leave after our afternoon nap. Topper for our stay was the hot tub and pool. Nothing like looking at the stars while you float!

My daughter and I were searching for the perfect location to relax, unwind, and be quiet. Hacienda Hot Springs offered us all of that, plus more. This very quiet and rustic inn is just that and more...very small, intimate inn surrounded by absolutely gorgeous, well maintained gardens. The room (3) we had was small, simply decorated, but comfortable and had a very limited, but more than adequate kitchenette, and a roomy private patio. Karl, Vanessa and Sandra were very friendly, and welcoming and they made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this Inn for people who seek peace and quiet, and simplicity.

My wife and I had a wonderful, relaxing time at Hacienda Hot Springs. This is an amazing place to spend a night, a weekend, a week, or more. Karl is an excellent manager and Sandy and Ray keep the grounds immaculate. There are only six rooms, so it's never crowded. It's just the right size to get to know other guests if you feel like being sociable, but you can have total privacy when you want. The rooms are comfortable and the kitchens have what you need if you want to eat in. The back patios provide a nice private spot to relax, but the pool and the whirlpool are where we spent much of our time. Just before we left, we spoke with a newly-arrived couple who commented on how relaxed we were. Come and find out for yourself what an amazing place this is. You will love it. We are recommending a visit to Hacienda to all our friends and highly recommend a visit for you!

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 5. Room 2 doesn't have a rear patio and Room 7 doesn't have a stove, but...

I could write a book on how Karl makes you feel at home . But the short version is he knows how to help which is a unique talent. Once you walk in the gate the landscaped grounds you realize you are in for a special stay. I love the fact they have trees close to the pool and spa. it seems like you can always find shade if you're looking to avoid the direct sun. Chairs and lounges are plentiful and comfortable. Activities. Include horse shoes , chess table, lounge with tv . Plentiful fruit trees , limes, grapefruit ,and pomegranates. Sauna and massage services. Arisista was skillful in making you feel relaxed. this is the first time however I remember not having tight knotted muscles before the massage. I feel this is a result of the hot tub with the great jets some high for your neck and shoulders area some lower for your lower back and hip area. I've been to hundreds of jacuzzis over the years and normally the water isn't hot enough or the jets aren't strong enough. This was the best jacuzzi I've ever been in . The mineral water has a amazing ability to unwind your stiff and sore muscles.
We were in room 5 which had a king bed and kitchen. It was nice to have a refrigerator and gas stove. It also had a patio area that had a gate that could open to the adjoining rooms patio . A nice feature if youre coming with friends. The Hacienda is set up for grilling also . In the eating area there is a gas bar b que. which was used by some of the guests. The two times we came we enjoyed mingling with the guests. No kids which was nice. The limited number of rooms meant the pool was not crowded .
Weve been to most of the restaurants in Desert Hot Springs . Don't think they have gourmet eateries here because they don't. The sidewinders , South of the border, Rockys , Zapopan Mexican food,Casa Blanca (probably our favorite Mexican of the sit down variety),Kam Lun Chinese, their service was fine for us here. Good value at Kam Lun but average quality. We enjoyed the date shakes at the windmill market and restaurant . On this trip we tried the Mission lakes country club . This was our favorite restaurant . Go to Yelp ( a great food review app) if you want ratings on
the rest. If you want a quick sandwich their stater bros market has a deli . Nothing fancy but serviceable.
Sorry got sidetracked , We love knowing that the Hacienda is now our go to inn in the desert. Almost forgot to mention Sandra what a great welcoming , friendly , lovely person . Thanks Sandra for extra special service.

Room Tip: Not all the rooms that have kitchen have gas stoves . Room 5 has a gas stove. if you come with famil...
