We stayed here on a groupon offer, and upgraded to the in room pool suite
The decor was recently upgraded, so what looks like a shabby motel, is actually quite comfy and well appointed on the inside. The plunge-size pool of very warm 'mineral' water was heavily chlorinated, which I did not enjoy, and my skin took weeks to recover. I enjoyed that the pol was in our room though. The provision of robes and slippers was nice.
The staff, despite what some other people have said, were helpful and friendly and happy to oblige. The 'jade massage room' was a joke, and since they hype it, one of the reasons I did not give 4 stars. It was filthy ( even though I loved the padded room effect) and there were no clean sheets and whatnot to use. We stayed on a weekday, so it didn't seem that busy. The housekeeper who was on duty came in and happily tidied up and supplied some clean linens or us. The jade message beds each had some problems, one worked on the uppers and the lowers were not working. The other was rumbly and uncomfortable, more like a 4x4 off road experience than a relaxing soothing massage. One had heat that worked and one not.
In any case, it was a fairly good stay, nice amenities, decently appointed rooms, courteous and helpful staff... I would note that we never encountered the person who books spa services. She pretty much ignored us when we checked in and was absent the rest of the time. We might have booked a massage otherwise, but our first impression of her was that we would prefer to avoid.

Room Tip: If you want privacy and intimate soaks, get a room with a pool...beware the chlorine.

I think that they are in the middle of renovations and that may be why we received a great price using a Groupon deal for 2 nights. It still looks like they may need to do some more clean up, painting and sprucing up of the grounds. The staff was nice and helpful but not what I would call excellent in the customer service department. The pool along with the spas were well kept and open 24 hours. We thought that the location was excellent as we were visiting the Joshua Tree National Park and Palm Springs and it was close to all. Ask for maid service to double check on cleanliness if you have a problem most places are happy to double check for you and clean again for you why complain just let them know.

My husband and I went for a quick mini-getaway the past weekend. We stayed in one of the soleil spa suites.

Let me start with the Pros:
- The spa in the room was really nice and enjoyable
- The server at Kafe Bar was the friendliest person at the hotel. He was awesome! I think his name is Nate.
- Close to Palm Springs and other restaurants in the nearby area

Cons:

-At first glance, the room looked good but upon closer inspection we found a few dirty things. The coffee was dirty, the cups that they provided were dirty and the TV had a lot of dust on it
- The TV had very limited channels
- The front desk receptionist was not very helpful in terms of answering questions about the spa- she even seemed a little condescending towards us.
- Their DVD "library" is a joke.
- One of the Massage Bed's did not work and the whole experience was not relaxing because we could hear a lot of sound from the pool or people walking by.

Definitely not worth the money.

Room Tip: Corner Spa Suites might be quieter.

We had a one night stay here as part of a group road trip. The rooms are simple, but have all the basics and was clean when we checked in. One thing to note is that all the rooms are entered from the outside, not interior hallways. While we were there it was incredible windy and the noise from the wind was very loud in the room. The pool and spa area was very nice. They have an enclosed spa area as well as an outdoor one and they were large enough for 8 people plus to fit comfortablely. Since the pool area is open 24 hours and the rooms all overlook the pool, some rooms can hear people down at the pool area. The restaurant/bar was open while we were there, but we didn't use it except to have them provide us with ice for our room.

The lobby is very small and doesn't provide a lot of space for socializing and the rooms are small, so if you are with a group that wants to hang out together, you will need to go to the bar area or the pool area.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the pool area if you do not want to hear people at night. If it is windy...

My wife and I spend the weekend and we had great time. The room was a bit small and they did not have the best channel lineup on TV but we did not get away to spend it in a hotel. 15 minutes away from Palm Springs and 20 from the Cabazon outlets. The staff was GREAT and very friendly. Used the GROUPON deal so the price was also GREAT. If you are looking for a hotel where you can walk to restaurants or any other place this is NOT for you, other than that we highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay at the Aqua Soleil hotel. There were a couple of small concerns: the TV had no cable and very few, only local channels, which is surprising these days; there were no cups in the bathroom (we used the paper cups intended for coffee); at night there were the usual noises from outside traffic and air conditioning units; I thought the mattress was pretty soggy but nobody else seemed to. But the pool is very nice, the hotel has a tasteful modern look, and breakfast at the cafe was good; they don't serve lunch, however, so if you plan on staying by the pool, you'll have to go elsewhere. Definitely don't bother going into DHS for breakfast. The hotel is fine for kids, though for some reason there seemed to be very few families there when we went. Overall, a pretty good experience.
