If you want to relax in a quiet special place, this is it.
No kids, no noise, no distractions. Nothing to do but relax in the most special mineral pool ever (no smells), get amazing massages and chill out.
Some of the rooms are very old (this was Al Capone's hideout), but over the years new rooms have been built. Still, the new owners plan on doing a lot of improvements. Just go there knowing that it isn't the "ritz", but it is very special.
Details: all of the rooms are a little different. Some by the Grotto still have original antique furniture that have issues. But you may find this part of the charm of the place. Newer rooms further from the Grotto are more modern and better equiped, but they are a stroll from the pool.
The on site dining is very good, but on this last visit it was not as outstanding as in the past. Fruit was not ripe (should not have been served) and the breakfast was just ok. They used to have a buffet that rocked - hope they bring that back.More
