Stayed here for one night on a recent trip to San Diego/LA. This was the best hotel my girlfriend and I stayed at over 4 days. Comfortable and cozy room with every amenity you could need. Free parking, wifi, fridge and microwave in room. Very nice area which is close to the highway and beaches. A short drive to Torrey Pines, La Jolla and San Diego. We used the business center a couple times to print out items. It's tucked away from the main building which could be inconvenient for some, but it was right by our room. Check in/out was quick and very cordial.

The bad:
The towels were thin and on the rough side. There was no bathmat.. Weird because most hotels at this star level have one. A bath towel was sacrificed instead lol.. There was some road noise as our room was on the street side, but it was quiet at night.

My wife and I have stayed at the Hotel Indigo at least six times (20 nights) in the last year because our kids live nearby. It's comfortable, clean, well priced (outside of the summer horse racing season), has a great bar and food. It's become *the* place to stay when we're in SoCal. Great spa on grounds, too. Highly recommended for a relaxing time.

Stayed her for a third time in the past year and they never disappoint you. Staff is wonderful, rooms are comfortable, food and drinks are very good. Close to Del Mar downtown, very short drive to Torrey Pines beach and easy access to the interstate. Nice chairs to sit outside and enjoy the evening under the stars. Only down side is that to print out boarding passes you have to walk over to a seperate building and down the stairs to get to the business center. Having it in the lobby would make it so much more easy for us business travelers

We were in town from Michigan to attend a wedding at La Costa. We wanted to stay closer to the ocean but did not want to pay the high rates at L'Auberge or Torrey Pines so we decided on the Indigo. We were not disappointed in our choice.

We paid extra for the double queen ocean view suite. It was nice to have a balcony to watch the evening sunsets , although the ocean is quite a ways in the distance. It was very convenient to have a fridge, microwave and wet bar area.

Our favorite part of this hotel was the lobby, bar and restaurant opening onto to a deck with sofas and tables over looking the pool and the ocean in the distance. We enjoyed having breakfast on the outside terrace. The bar was nicely lit in the evening and there was a fire pit for outside seating. The food was quite good for a hotel and our server Brace was most attentive.

This is a nice boutique hotel in a very charming neighborhood of Del Mar. It was fun to walk the few blocks to the ocean bluff and stroll along the railroad tracks into town. The views were spectacular.

We would definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity to come back to Del Mar.

Room Tip: Studio suite with double queen beds and a balcony.

Stayed here for a few nights in the middle of October. I had mixed feelings before arriving due to some of the reviews on here but I needn't have worried at all. Check in was great and friendly and we had a two queen bed studio suite. We did get a bit confused trying to find it due to the room numbers not being on the side you automatically look. The room was beautiful. It had a lovely wooden like floor and the decoration a d furnishings were fantastic. The beds were extremely comfortable! The kitchen area was nice to have as if you want to keep your own drinks a d food you can as there is fridge, microwave, hobs, sink, coffee maker and then plastic plates and cutlery. The made e en did our washing up and c,earring away. We had a love,y large shower. Unfortunately there was no bath but for a few nights this wasn't an issue. When we arrived we had a light that didn't work in the toilet and shower area so we called guest services and there was a man here within five minutes to fix it. Everything was so clean including the pool area with extremely comfortable sun beds and a nice pool and jacuzzi. Our room was only a couple of steps from the pool which was perfect and there are views out to the Pacific Ocean where there are some beautiful sunsets. October was a great time as it was so quiet and peaceful but still with lovely weather hitting the 80's. I am jncredibly fussy but I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I stayed here for 3 nights in Mid October at the end of a 49 day road trip completing my 48th State of the USA. what a perfect end to my holiday. My daughter had joined me for the last two weeks and we were upgraded to a two queen bed studio suite which was very spacious with a breakfast bar a good kitchen area with a good refrigerator and microwave as well as a double hob ring. The aircon worked great and was nice and quiet and the bathroom had a great shower. There was a small terrace with two chairs and table outside the suite, but only 15 feet away was the pool and Jacuzzi area where we layed on the sun beds and enjoyed the view of the Pacific Ocean. we also saw some amazing sunsets. There is a second pool on the lower level. The reception area is very modern and the Bar and Grill has an outside terrace where it is great to relax and enjoy a drink and watch the sunset across the Pacific Ocean. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. I had a light out in the shower room, called reception and in less than 5 minutes a gentleman arrived and changed the bulb. we loved using the pool and jacuzzi and would love to return here again in the future. We had great nights sleep in the comfortable beds and it was really quiet, but it was mid October There is an excellent business centre that we used for printing our boarding cards for our flight back to London and a very nice fitness room.

Room Tip: We had studio suite 313 and it was very quiet.

I used to be a fan of this hotel even though the rooms are dark. I guess every time I have stayed here in the past the hotel was not very crowded . This trip I can hear everything and every bathroom activity in the room next to mine , there has got to be something wrong with the plumbing ---it's sooooo loud . The Internet is horrible and barely works , very annoying . We got here on a Sat. Night , there was a band playing in the bar/restaurant ( with maybe 5 patrons ) which is just feet from the guest rooms. Not smart. Also the housekeeping is not good . I left a date pit on the table next to my bed and it was still there after the room was " cleaned " . Ugh , too loud , too dirty , I am so sad I have to find another place to stay in North County.

Room Tip: Stay away from the bar.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Hotel Indigo Del Mar with other Trip Advisor readers. I am sorry my housekeeping team did not deliver the cleanliness you expect. The internet issue is currently in the works to be enhanced and upgraded. We do have other room types in our building two that are farther away from the restaurant and are quieter than the main building. Hopefully you will give us another chance and we can find you the perfect room. Thank you for your feedback.
