We are a family of five just back from having spent four nights at this property. We have no complaints about our stay. Though it is considered a two-star hotel, the beds, linens, and pillows were very comfortable. The room (#103) was spotless. The employees were pleasant as was the daily Continental breakfast that was included in the price. The breakfast included sausage and the fluffiest scrambled eggs I've ever had. There was coffee, three different juices, muffins, danishes, yogurts, cereals, and fresh fruit to choose from. Just across the parking lot was Applebee's and several other fast food restaurants. There was ample parking and the property wasn't overcrowded and quite quiet. We were so comfortable here that we gave up our plans to stay in San Francisco for two nights and instead just drove there daily to enjoy that city. We would definitely stay here again and hope everyone else experiences as pleasant a stay.

Room Tip: Don't expect a 5 star resort, just a very clean, comfortable room/stay. Not noisy despite the proximity to the freeway.

Clean, minimal rooms, are what is offered here;variety of lights in the room to suit your mood, whether one is reading or the other is sleeping. If you have someone in the group who smokes, bad news for them as they offer no smoking rooms in the hotel so you have to take the lift a couple floors down which wasn't really helpful. The staff were pretty aged and not so warm to give us any sort of welcoming even though we were a family and not some crazy teenagers that have had one too many drinks.

Anyway moving on to the food, let me just say, for a hotel to only maintain 1 small kettle in the cafeteria is a joke. The fridge was small, the worlds slowest, most rubbish coffeemaker and probably what looked like a microwave from the 60's. They need major renovation to that kitchenette. No wonder its hidden for a reason! The cups were plastic and it was just lacking in any hospitality service. Its probably best to order a takeaway and enjoy it, knowing it will be prepared faster than what is downstairs.

Only stayed for a day to visit cousins that was just a 5 min walk from the campus which was great. Location had some sort of advantage to it as it wasn't too far from shops and restaurants. So all in all, rooms were cosy to sleep in, kitchen needed a lot of work and the location was by far the most attractive part about it.

Room Tip: If you or your other travellers are smokers, get the ground floor rooms as they don't offer smoking rooms.

It looks like your generic, mid-priced, predictably hygienic chain hotel. What makes this comfort inn stand out is the staff. They are young, smart, friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and clean, Tasteful but not fancy. There is an outdoor pool and hot tub and fitness room. Recycling bins!!! Ample parking. Breakfast is a cut above most. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent hotel, just outside of the downtown area of Davis and just off the campus. The room was large and very quiet and well appointed. The problem is the kitchenette: it consists of a little fridge, a sink, a microwave, and the world's worst coffeemaker. As another commenter noted, all cups are plastic or paper. Even downstairs (and thank god for the 24-hour coffee in the lobby) the cups were styrofoam. How are you supposed to be able to use the microwave with plastic, paper, or styrofoam? You can't do a thing with it! You can't even heat some water for tea. The truly dismal coffeemaker: a greyish brown tasteless stream of lukewarm water issued into my paper cup. After adding the Creamer Powder and looking at the grey mess that resulted, I dressed myself fully for the trip downstairs. As I said, thank god for the coffee in the lobby. The kitchenette is a complete waste of time. Not even a kettle.
Also, my bathroom toilet was not particularly clean. These small issues not a big deal, for otherwise the hotel is great, but they do mean the hotel is much less comfortable than it could be.

A well appointed and friendly hotel. Above average breakfast and 24 hour coffee pot in the lobby. The only issues were a lamp that didn't work properly and malfunctioning TV that made channel selection random. Overall a pleasant stay.
