“Best Crepes around!”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

We love the savory crepes with 1/2 a salad. Lots of fresh vegies and very tasty. Salad is large and I can almost never finish all of it. Food is delicious and we can eat outside with our dog on the patio which makes it one of his favorite places too.

“Nice food, Vegetarian heaven, Vegan stuff too!”
Reviewed May 25, 2014

We ate at Crepeville for lunch on a VERY HOT Spring afternoon. Since it was a Saturday the Davis Farmer's Market was going on at the same time so the restaurant was VERY crowded, as usual, but we really didn't wait as long as we thought we might. They were really able to manage the crowd very well. We found a table for 4 outside almost right away and our food was delivered fairly quickly and didn't look like it was thrown together. All pluses for a busy place. We were a group of 4, one meat eater, two vegetarians, and one vegan. I am the vegan and I had the tofu sandwich, which I've had before but not in a very long time, and it was as good as I remember it to be. It is a VERY filling sandwich and really tasty. I ordered it on sourdough bread instead of the white bun it comes on. It has a thick slice of very nice marinated tofu, sliced avocado, grilled onions, and mushrooms. Really nice combo! Be careful if you are vegan because it comes with mayonnaise, which is a nice touch, but not if you are vegan. My son had a vegetarian sandwich which he liked a lot. Avo, chedder, lettuce, tomato on whole grain bread. He had sprouts on the sandwich too but they were soggy, tired sprouts so he took those off. The two others in our party had crepes which had cheese, avo, and various other items that they ordered from the Make Your Own Crepe menu, which is a nice option for guests so you can get exactly what you want inside your crepe. I ordered a fresh OJ and Carrot Juice which is always delicious, although I wish it was organic. Crepes and sandwiches come with side green salad or potatoes. We all opted for the green salad, which was a better choice since the main meal is VERY filling, but the salad came with a sweet oil based dressing that we did not like. Next time I will know to ask for another dressing option.

The atmosphere inside Crepeville is always very noisy and the outdoor seating is right by the street so it is not a relaxing restaurant for an important lunch or quiet enough for a business lunch or study place.

NOTE: They only accept cash which is always annoying.

All in all a really nice experience for us.

“Really gone down hill”
Reviewed May 19, 2014 via mobile

We used to go to Crepeville several times a month and hadn't been for more than a year after prices increased. The menu stagnated years ago with few options that aren't heavily carb based. The chicken sandwich is still okay, but the Benedict's have a weirdly yellow hollandaise, the salads have shrunk and they desperately need to revMp the menu. Today it just seemed empty and sad. They even spelt Noodle wrong on two places in the menu. It just seems as if they have given up.

“Don't expect authentic French Crepes”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

this place is good if you are a starving student who does not know the difference between a crepe and a tortilla. But don't go here expecting a light French style Crepe. The food lacks sophistication and is generally unhealthy. The atmosphere is nice and the service is so/so, but the no debit cards is ridiculous. (they may have changed this). The food has the same boring and unappealing feeling that you get across the street at the owners other spot Burgers & Brew. The Brew is great at both places but don't get too excited about the burgers or the crepes.

“Love the breakfast”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

Love the muffins and California Benedict. Everything looks and tastes fresh. Coffee is good but wish the refill system was more convenient. We go there as a family on a geur basis. Occasionally, I go there if I crave for a good sweet crepe as well.
