“Peaceful Side of campus”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

After parking a long ways from the arboretum and making way thru all the non-descript buildings on the campus, and dodging the droves of bicyclists, it was relief to reach the arboretum. A nice peaceful area with a nice walk along the creek. Nice plants and a bit of education to go along with it.

“Make sure you visit the white flower garden and gazebo!”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

You can walk along Putah Creek or ride your bike, learn about local plants or just picnic, whatever you'd like to do, but if you're in Davis, it's worth at least 30 minutes to visit this lovely destination.

“Peaceful campus setting”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

The Davis Arboretum on the UC Davis campus includes a wonderful strolling path along a waterway complete with ducks and beautiful foliage. It is also educational, with postings containing facts about various trees & plants from around the world. Along the way you will find benches, tables and grassy areas for picnics, relaxation, quiet conversation and meditation. Restrooms are available at a couple locations. Depending on your walking speed, a complete non-stop circle of the pathway takes anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes. It's a great way to relax & get a respite from the hustle & bustle of everyday life.

“Walking”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

I walk the arboretum every week. This is a great place to take a nice 3 mile walk. You will experience al kinds of trees, plants with information on them. The only thing is that you need to be careful of the duck droppings because it is everywhere.

My daughter and husband took me here last year for Mom's day. Beautiful place and hidden treasure. It was a lovely day.
