This Four Sisters Inn is a favorite. Just an hours drive from Los Angeles, we find ourselves in a very charming 3 story cottage b and b. Our room features a king size bed, bath with jacuzzi tub, a beautiful view out the window bay overlooking a gazebo, the Dana Point bluffs, the harbor and the ocean. Great stuff inside and out. They serve an enjoyable breakfast and in the afternoon, wine with some accompaniments. We have stayed in several different rooms. Some have outside balconies This trip was last minute and we were given a special price for the room. There are less expensive places to stay and,all things considered, we will be back again.

Booked this inn to celebrate our anniversary. We're not a glitzy couple so didn't particularly want to go to the Montage etc but wanted something quaint, eclectic, quality, with nice food and a great atmosphere. By the look of the website, the Blue Lantern Inn fitted the bill perfectly. Yes, it was pricey ($320 for one of the standard rooms) but I really thought it would be worth it. Such a disappointment! For that money I was expecting so much more - this was a third rate boarding house - old, out-dated, in need of repainting and refitting. Everything felt shabby and old. It would have been fine at $150 a night but at $320 (and that was one of the lower priced rooms) it was outrageous. Breakfast was little better than a motel lobby breakfast. Wish I'd spent another couple of hundred and gone to the Montage - it would have been money better spent.

Stayed here many times - still a favorite hotel with excellent service, quality and lovely view over the cliff of Dana Point harbor. Although, I miss the bears tucked in bed at night and the higher end breakfast strata of the past.

Clean, spacious and plenty of room to relax in your room as well as common areas. Everyone on staff makes you feel welcome and is helpful. Great value

Left something behind and they called before I even realized it was missing !

Stan, the night manager, is a standout ! Sorry he was not on duty the last night to say thank you and see you next time.

Room Tip: Rooms on upper levels have better views and are worth the extra cost.

A charming, clean, beautifully furnished B&B on the cliffs overlooking the marina in Dana Point. It's a wonderful value vs other big resorts in the area: they offer free breakfast, wine/cheese hour, bicycle rentals, wifi. The hotel has several restaurants within walking distance, and is a great place to stay if you're interested in hiking any of the natural preserve areas nearby.

Beautiful place to stay overlooking Dana Point Harbor, absolutely beautiful. Every morning breakfast (two hot choices) with wine and treats in the afternoon. Homemade cookies are the best. We stayed in their only pet friendly room and it was spacious, clean and had a private patio with harbor view. We only live 10 minutes away and eagerly look forward to our next visit.
