Harbor Grill was recommended to us by a local. It was a good thing she told us about it, because even though a large sign boasted its presence at a strip mall, when we got out of the car, we spotted three other restaurants, but not the Harbor Grill. We had to ask a vendor for directions and ended up walking all the way around the building before we came to the entrance, which is actually on the side of the building. Once inside, we were welcomed and seated immediately. It was interesting to note, that although the restaurant is popular with the locals, our dining room was filled with tourists from Japan, France, and the Middle East. It was fun to hear the mixture of languages in this Orange County Harbor setting. But now, back to the food. The Cioppino was filled with a lobster tail as well as clams, snow crab, shrimp and several types of fish. My mesquite grilled swordfish fillet was tender and juicy, cooked just the way I like it. The garlic mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables were perfect as well. We ordered a bottle of Pouilly Fuisse and finished the meal with a delicious espresso. Harbor Grill has a warm and friendly atmosphere, a live pianist, and friendly wait staff. No wonder it's a favorite with so many!
