“Worth the trip!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2014

Saw an ad about this place. One of our family members loves pancakes so this was for her, but we all loved the meal! Great variation! Seating outside and in, but it is hectic and crowded. You can't linger because others want your table. Long line for ordering but worth the wait! They have an Eggs Benedict Club that is excellent.

“Hawaiian-style breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2014

Open till 2pm there are tables available in and outside. This is on PCH so the traffic can be a bit loud for sitting outside.
Their french toast is made with Hawaiian sweet bread and is tasty. The omelettes are average, but if you can catch a "special" with sausage and unusual ingredients they improve dramatically.

This is a line-up and place-your-order at the counter, then your meal is brought to your table. The coffee always tastes like it's the bottom of a burned pot. Still it's worth a visit-The employees tend to be very friendly

Great food, lively atmosphere, awesome servers and fair prices. A locals favorite breakfast spot with indoor / outdoor seating and friendly , well trained staff. Park in the upstairs parking area.

“Great breakfast place in Dana Point. Don't worry, line moves fast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2014

I've driven by Stacks countless times and never gone in, mainly because I'm not much of a breakfast person. However, always noticed that this place has a line out the door and so decided to try it for the first time to see for myself what everyone else already knew. There is seating for 30 to 40 inside the small restaurant and as many places outside on the patio in front. On this given Saturday we were struggling to find a place to park ourselves - inside or out (just to give you an idea of how busy it is).

Serving classic breakfast fare with generous portions including buttermilk pancakes, California breakfast burritos, Huevos Rancheros and so on. Despite its modest location the service here really sets it apart. While super busy the staff made a point to come by frequently to refill coffee and ensure everything with our meal was ok and did so in a way that was personal, friendly and not rushed.

Be patient though, during peak times there is a line, although I don't think we waited more than 10 to 15 min. to order. Food came quickly as well. Great place and highly recommend.

“I liked the food and service, not coffee.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2014

When we arrived, line was long, it was all the way out. But they moved fast. I asked for polish scrabbled egg, later changed it to regular veggie scrabbled egg because of the pork sausage. I also asked for a stack of pancakes. Service was very fast. One server was walking around with a coffee pot and asking if we want more coffee. Food tasted okay. Coffee tasted bad, did not like it at all. Could not finish pancakes but it was too much. I will repeat for something different.
